The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.

On Saturday March 22nd the semi-official Rock Band band of THX, Insinuating Chaos, performed and finished 2nd in a Rock Band tournament hosted by GameStop at Madison Square Mall. It was terrifically entertaining and some of the most fun I’ve ever had with my clothes on.
So, Top Games in Gardendale is having a Halo 1 2v2 tournament in May. They are currently ironing out the details, but it will be TS to 50, generic weapons, good maps. They are deciding which weekend, most likely the 2nd weekend in May.
I'm probably going to drive up from Auburn. There will probably be lots of LAN afterwards.
Wasn't sure how interested you guys would be.
Never heard of the place before, but it's at Vulcan GameBox. Here's the site:

I'm probably going to drive down and check the place out sometime today. I'll post impressions when I do.

Myself, FoulBreed, Sparda, and Oculus are registered for the GoW tournament at MLG. It looks like they opened up registration to a total of 160 teams instead of the original 80, and all 160 slots are full, with one team on the waiting list to get in. Our "group play" starts this week with the following schedule. All games are from 8-9 PM CST.

Get notified of game nights and important THX announcements via the hushedcasket Twitter account. You can get the messages on your cell phone, through email, Facebook, and many other ways. Here's how it goes down.
