We want your HALO 3 screenshots here. Add yours.
The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.
MLG and the US Army teamed up to have a Halo 3 film festival. Here's a look at the top 3 videos:
From subtheorist at MLG:
"You asked for it and Bungie has delivered! As promised, the MLG Playlist officially went live at 5 a.m. EST. Thousands of gamers are already enjoying an exact replica of MLG v4 settings, without the hassle and time involved in searching for a custom match. You’ll find the MLG Playlist under a brand new Matchmaking tab titled “Community.” Even though it’s not found under “Ranked” lists, the MLG Playlist is ranked and also counts towards your ranked match total."
I'll be on this playlist tonight. Anyone else?
Goku and Gnome will be coming to stay with me before we go to MLG Chicago in a couple of weeks. Before we go, we are going to play on LAN and we need some people to play against.
The potential LAN will happen on Wednesday the 15th.
Who can attend?
Make sure you know your way around Shadowrun or we'll just have to play against the bots.
Gotfrag.com has been acquired by MLG. Gotfrag is one of (if not the) place to go for competitive gaming news. In the last few years they've started covering competitive console gaming.
It will be interesting to see how MLG controls the website. Will other leagues and tournaments be covered by Gotfrag now?
Sure an MLG can't buy an ESPN and have them only report on baseball news.

Out of nowhere, MLG has added Gears of War as a main title to their tour. Over the course of the 2007 Boost Mobile MLG Pro Circuit, MLG will be awarding over $140,000 in Gears of War prize money and pro player benefits, with the National Championship first place prize weighing in at $25,000!

Finally, Major League Gaming (MLG) goes next gen. MLG has added Rainbow Six Vegas as an official game on their circuit. Scores of teams will have the chance to turn "pro" by playing R6V. This also means that MLG is finally incorporating the XBOX 360 platform in their events.
It's about time. HALO 2 was released in 2004. The XBOX which is the most dominate platform at MLG was released in 2001. You can bet that this tournament is a "feeler" for the upcoming release of HALO 3, likely to be released in November of 2007. Although HALO 2 is backwards compatible with the XBOX 360, MLG has not made the move to the XBOX 360 platform. HALO 3 will be exclusive to the XBOX 360 platform.
The Hushed Casket is participating in the first ever Major League Gaming Gears of War (GoW) Tournament. Visit the THX.com frontpage (hushedcasket.com) for details on other THX events including participation in Major League Gaming and Team Warfare League tournaments.
Myself, FoulBreed, Sparda, and Oculus are registered for the GoW tournament at MLG. It looks like they opened up registration to a total of 160 teams instead of the original 80, and all 160 slots are full, with one team on the waiting list to get in. Our "group play" starts this week with the following schedule. All games are from 8-9 PM CST.

Get notified of game nights and important THX announcements via the hushedcasket Twitter account. You can get the messages on your cell phone, through email, Facebook, and many other ways. Here's how it goes down.
