Penn & Teller's Bullshit

UPDATE: here's the thread about this episode: http://hushedcasket.com/node/3996

I don't know if anyone has recently checked on the new Penn & Teller season to see when the episode featuring video games will be airing. I didn't see any content on it, but that doesn't mean there isn't any, so ignore this if you are already informed. Anyways, I checked on Wikipedia and found out that episode "7-03 Violent Video Games" will be airing on July 9, 2009. I'm sure times will be released closer to that date. I look forward to seeing what opinions they will offer on thw subject, and what they will dub "bullshit". If nothing else, maybe we'll get to see some good gaming footage. Like EA pwning D3ATHsLAYER in COD4, always enjoy that!

Cool info, predator. Maybe Midnight can give us more details.

I was thinking about having a "reveal" somewhere. Maybe have a LAN and then watch the show during the LAN.

I'd be game for hosting a major LAN in a large room somewhere and opening it up to other gamers in Huntsville.

Of course, prolly would suck if the joke was on Midnight/THX/gamers...

I emailed the producer and asked him if this is the episode (it's gotta be). Will definitely wait to see it before making a huge deal out of it.

Here's the description of the episode from Wikipedia. The few short sentences sound like the episode is exactly as it was described to us.

"The duo debunks the theory of politicians and other alarmists that playing video games leads to teen violence by handing over a real semiautomatic weapon to a nine-year-old video game player to see if he becomes a human killing machine."

I'm pretty excited about watching this tonight. I might need to get Jeff's autograph, since he'll be famous and everything.

They have a clip from the show here: http://www.sho.com/site/ptbs/home.do
