Rock Band 2 Thoughts

What's everyone think?
So far I'm not extremely impressed with the early songs. There's some jewels, but it's really feeling like work to unlock the better songs.
I like that there's only one "tour" mode now. By yourself, with the entire band, with two members of the band, with a total stranger...progress is tracked in the same place.
Calibration is more intuitive.
Integration with RB1 songs and DLC is 99% seamless. I did find one tiny glitch: Shyzza logs in at my house and re-downloads a song he's purchased. We play it. He leaves and takes his XBL profile with him. Next day I am able to choose that song in "make a setlist." I choose it. It lets me play the first 3 songs in the setlist, gets to the last one (that I shouldn't be able to play because Shyzza isn't logged in) and freaks out, sending me back to the main screen. No saved progress. I half-way expected it, but it shouldn't let me choose it at all.
Total song count is amazing as evidenced from the "make a setlist" screen that lists all available tracks (RB1, DLC, and RB2).
It's fun to be working through a RB campaign again.
Just read at IGN that 20 free DLC tracks will be offered before the end of the year.
Yeah they said something about 20 more songs they didn't have time to put in the game but would release via free download.
I'm going to pick up the game after work hopefully if I have the time. I got my new bass pedal which is awesome on Friday, now I just need a new drum stick due to my puppy eating the end off last week. bad puppy, THATS A BAD PUPPY!
Just watched the video on Down with the Sickness Expert Drums. Must find the fastest way to unlock this song and play! Looks like so much fun, hard but not impossible like some freakin expert drum songs.
I almost do not want to go to volleyball tonight now and rock it up all night long.
I will own this game, I just don't know when - perhaps as it gets closer to the holiday season and we start having some parties at our house. The first thing I will do is enter in a key combination to unlock all the songs.
The instructions on how to sign up to get the 20 free songs is on the back of the booklet in the game which none of you has probably touched as they are instructions on how to play the game.
It also says you need a key that you purchase from the marketplace to export the original Rock Band disc songs onto your HD to play in RB2. I haven't searched very diligently, but I haven't found the key on marketplace as of yet. I was told by a friend it would cost $4, but I have no idea where he got his info.

Pop in the original Rock Band. Accept the new title update if you haven't already. Go to options, export songs. You'll then be prompted to purchase the license to use them in RB2. It will then copy the RB1 songs to your HD minus 3 (Enter Sandman being the most notable of the 3). The copy will take about 10 minutes. If you don't have RB1 I will bring you my copy next Monday at work (out of town until then).
I will check out the instructions on how to get the 20 free songs. After having unlocked some more songs, I am loving RB2.
I ordered RB2 on Amazon yesterday because it came with 1600 free MS points...which is a good deal.
Thanks Midnight!! I have the original. I just haven't bothered to do it yet. I checked the free songs website earlier and it said to come back in a few days.

RB2 is awesome. I love the fact that they have a Presidents of the United States song! (Lump). They're coming to BSJ!
