Monte Sano Tournament on the 13th!!

Well the time is near baby! I've been talking with the designer of the course recently, they are going to be hosting a small fundraiser tournament to try and raise the money for the last 4-5 baskets. They are looking for Temporary Portable Baskets to borrow to host this tournament on the 13th. I'm loaning my basket for the event and will play in it as well, he is thinking of a $15-20 dollar fee with all payouts in 100% plastic for placing for guys donating discs.
The portable baskets will be in the same spots they are going to put the real ones, so this is the first chance to get out and see what Monte Sano can offer. I think it's going to be a lot of fun and can't wait to check out the new course, and hopefully Indian Creek is going to be following closely behind.
I'm all over it. I can't think of a better place for a DG course in Huntsville. Good to hear it's almost finished! Hope to see alot of THX DGers there.

It's a go, they got plenty of baskets to setup for the event! Can't wait to throw this course, I have only seen about half of it. It won't be in perfect playing conditions I think but it should be good enough to see how everything is going to play out.
I'm viewing a house after work at 3:30. If I get finished in time, I'm going to try and squeeze in a round at UAH before my soccer game at six. Hopefully I can get at UAH around 4:30 and play till 5:30.
I will be at doubles tomorrow as well. I haven't been for like 4 weeks.
As far as DG goes this weekend, I was going to invite anyone that wanted to join me in BHam, but there is a doubles tournament all week.. not sure if I will be able to get in a round or not while I'm down with the fiancee. I should be back for a early morning round on Monday, perhaps we could all get together and hit up Redstone on labor day if you don't have plans already.
What time on the 13th is the tournament?
All disc golf tournaments basically run the same way. Sign ups around 8:30-9:00 with teeoffs following shortly.
He said 8-9:30 is signups and players meeting at 10, so best to show up a little before 9:30. I will probably be there around 8:00 to help setup baskets since I'm loaning mine as well.
So about 9:15-9:30 is your best "no shit" estimate of when to arrive? I ask because Sunday doubles are supposed to start at 1 PM but 1 PM seems to be when everyone starts arriving, with tee off at 1:45 or so. Royally pisses me off.
Well I'm sure if you showed up at 10 you could still pay the fee and jump in a group no problem. I know they will have to meet up at 8:00am and take all the baskets out to set them up which should take some time. Yeah most the time they never start on time. You are right about doubles, I've never been to Sunday double before but on Thursday its about the same, people show up at tee off and delays everything another 20minutes, very frustrating.
I still plan on playing today, I got to work to early so I will probably play a round at UAH at 3:10 then head over to Brahan for doubles, or just go home depending on how I feel.

Since when did they have classes on Saturday other than summer classes, that's strange. I don't remember them offering classes on Saturday, but that sucks. Have fun
Not once can I remember browsing the fall/spring catalog and finding a Saturday class. Never had a Sat class in college.
It's an English class on Sat. I guess it's new. Having a class on Sat. gives me more time to work during the week!
