This will be more embarrassingly absurd gaming paraphernalia, worse than that of the Master Chief's helmet.

The Lancer is from a 3rd party. The Lancer has nothing to do with the game's release.

Amazon is going out of their way to create a special bundle where you get the Lancer and the game. You can choose if you want the regular or limited edition game offering from MSEPIC.

At one point, I could see myself owning this. If I bought it now, I would mess with it for a few minutes and then start looking for places to store it.

It's very cool, but I would prefer something a little smaller and more subtle. I love my Big Daddy figurine. I like my MC helmet. But this thing would be destined for a closet.

Na, I'd mount it on my wall above my MC helmet! Hmm, I didn't realize that it was an amazon thing only... I already pre-ordered my Limited Edition at Gamestop. :(

I don't see why people think it is so ridiculous... it is far less ridiculous than a plastic helmet that doesn't even fit a human head.

They're both video game memorabilia. Master Chief's helmet is more recognizable, and a little more suitable for display in my house. They both have their place.

Reverse that... it's just as if not more ridiculous.

The helmet is conceptual as well... and if the chainsaw worked would that make it not ridiculous? So far Jeff has put forth the only logical reason for why the helmet might be less ridiculous... because of recognition by most people. Other than that, I don't see there being much difference between the two.

Both are equally ridiculous because VIDEO GAME memorabilia is ridiculous.

I agree, both are ridiculous!! They will never get anymore of my money than the basic version of the game.

Then again, some gamers like myself are ridiculous people.
