The Happening

Don't go see this film. Save your money and read the summary on Wikipedia. It's 90 minutes of environmentalist propaganda. The movie was poorly shot and edited. The acting was sub-par; even Marky Mark who did great in the departed. This is Night's worst major movie.

The movie showed multiple people committing suicides with ordinary items. That was hard to watch and I've seen some gory stuff. The reason people start doing this is far fetched. There's no real "twist" at the end of the movie as in his other flicks. The movie abruptly ends.

If I were on my couch watching this movie, I would have turned the channel. I'm a fan of off-the-wall movies. But even the critics agree that this a 3/5 at best.

I saw Get Smart last night. I thought it was OK. Funny, but not incredible.

It has Steve Carrell, so it must warrant at least a few laughs. I plan on seeing it soon.

I wasn't going to see Get Smart because it seemed a little too slap-stick for me, but I may go see it on your recommendations now. Especially since the movies this summer don't seem to appeal to me.

I agree that it was hilarious! Steve's demeanor through the whole movie was PRICELESS!

I have to agree w/ Rapture about "The Happening". I was disgusted. I may never see another Shyamalan (sp?) movie again.

I'm still convinced it was Night's way of proving any movie w/ his name attached will sell, regardless of how much garbage and what little effort he puts into it. The joke's on me, I guess. Forget the money, I want that 1.5 hours of my life back!
