The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.
Penny-Arcade has a hilarious comic about Twitter today. I hope to God nobody I know starts Twittering like that.

Get notified of game nights and important THX announcements via the hushedcasket Twitter account. You can get the messages on your cell phone, through email, Facebook, and many other ways. Here's how it goes down.

LOL. I've been following
LOL. I've been following some Twitter's in Huntsville. A few of them are sending upwards of 40 Twits a day. I'm not following them any more.
Some people are turning Twitter into IRC.
Forty twits/day? No thanks.
Forty twits/day? No thanks. I personally think Twitter is best used when you DO SOMETHING that is OUT of the ordinary. e.g. I don't think you should be telling people you're eating breakfast, you should be telling people you're walking around Panoply; you shouldn't be telling people you're channel-surfing, you should be telling people about the new restaurant you're attending, etc.
eww...I twitter maybe once
eww...I twitter maybe once or twice a day. Most I've ever twitted in one day is 5x.
Every episode of TWIT for
Every episode of TWIT for the past 3-4 weeks has talked about Twitter for at least 20 minutes. It's getting really old and I'm tired of hearing about it all the time. I haven't used Twitter yet (no unlimited texts) and somehow I've been able to manage.
Trust me, you are not
Trust me, you are not missing anything special Midnight.
I agree with you Mintz

Twitter is a way to get 160
Twitter is a way to get 160 characters of text or send 160 characters of text. What you send and receive is up to you. How you send and receive is up to you. The reason they talk about Twitter (I guess) is because of how open it is (the extra apps that are built) and because it's so widely adopted.
I get alerts on Deal Snares sent to Twitter. I get the weather updates. I get alerts when certain websites have changed and CNN breaking news.
Most people use it as a microblog (kind of like you use Facebook status updates).
However, you aren't missing much and it just adds more clutter to your social graph. However, it can make it work for you and I've found some value in that.
Also met some cool
Also met some cool Huntsvillians and had lunch with them. Will do again.
Hmm, the only real use I was
Hmm, the only real use I was aware of was the microblogging that seems to get abused fairly often from what I hear. Once I have a better text message plan I'll play with it.
I like using
I like using RememberTheMilk.com with Twitter. I also integrated RTM with Google Calendar so I just have to set up an appt on Google, then I get a txt to remind me through RTM!
Remember the Milk + Twitter
Remember the Milk + Twitter = Win
I stopped using RTM over a year ago because I started using BaseCamp.
However, I really like RTM's integration with Twitter. Like you said, you can just send a short SMS to RTM's Twitter account and it'll be smart enough to add it to your calendar and then send you an SMS alert when the appt is about to take place.
I'm going to start using RTM more often. It'll be great for setting up lunches and other events.
