I'll be picking my copy up tomorrow after work.

At first I thought I might be the only person interested. Since you guys will be playing as well then I'll be buying it soon. I really liked the R6V campaign. It was worth $60 just for the freshness of a real tactical shooter.

Got my copy from Gamestop. It contains instructions to unlock a "Comcast Optimized Map.":

From main menu select "extras"
Select "comcast gift"
Enter "COMCAST FASTER"

Am I going to be limited to one of these freebies in the extras?

Also, under extra content on the main rsv2 menu you can download the Streets map for free. All you have to do is register with Ubisoft on the 360 then download.

Playing coop was pretty fun, even if it was split-screen and had muddy textures. I plan on buying this game in a couple weeks.

I'm not getting the game in the next 48 hours like I thought I was because I'm going to be pretty busy this weekend and next week. So, I intend on buying this game about a week from now.

I don't see any other game coming out that I will be remotely interested in. I would have gotten the first R6V, but along came a couple of other FPS's.

First thoughts on R6V2? Pros,cons so far?

I have really enjoyed the co-op campaign! I also love the face mapping.

The new physics engine is much better. I hated not being able to shoot people through thin objects last time. Now you can waste away boxes and plywood cover easily.

The new advancement system is nice also. I like to move slowly, and pick them off from long distance. This has helped my Marksman category skyrocket, and it has unlocked some nice weapons. The problem is my other 2 categories are lacking, and keeping me from some other nice weapons.

I like the fact that is rewards the player who is not controlling the AI team members. It gives you a reason to play the story 2 times, and see what it is like to not have to order them around or use them to your advantage.

Over all I am really enjoying the game. If anyone wants to play some co-op, let me know.

So far it's just like the original R6V, with a few minor differences. That's not a bad thing, as I think R6V was very good. Here's a quick look:

Good:
-same tactical command and control theme
-nice leveling system that is constant from campaign to coop to single player
-cool customization

Bad:
-story hasn't got me hooked like the first one
-textures are muddy and not up to par
-the places you fight (at least for the first 3-4 missions) aren't vivid and extravagant like the original R6V. Fighting in a garage of white vans isn't as fun as fighting in Dante's Casino.

The textures weren't any better in single player?

Agree with the lackluster environment's; they're a bit disappointing.

I think the textures look a bit better and if not better atleast cleaner? If that makes sense. The RS series has never been known for strong texture work and now by using the Unreal 3 engine the emphasis is on character models more instead of environment.

So far I think the campaign is more fun if not altogether better. The co-op is a great addition, but the support for only 2 players hurts when you have other friends online. Terrorist hunt is alot harder than the first Vegas and that is partially due to terrorist constantly sprinting around, which makes them tough to hit. They also seem to have strong aiming and will headshot you on realistic more than not.

I loved playing Terrorist Hunt in RSV1; it was probably my favorite multiplayer mode. Good to know it's more challenging in the second one, because RSV1's Terrorist Hunt eventually became formulaic and predictable.

wow, you need to know one con about this game? the ranking system. I've achieved the rank of elite, already and yes you may call me sad but what else am i meant to do in my 2 weeks holiday? So, anygame i join i get comments such as 'OMGGG He boosted, kick him' Right. I bought the game to play and rank up, not too sit there doing all this little experience glitch things.

You know i bought my 360 when the first rsv came out and i was super stoked when this one came out. the terrorist hunt is was harder than in the first one and i have to agree the story isnt as gripping as the first one was but its starting to come around. the ai seems to be more tatic too. hope to run into some of ya guys in multiplayer

I only got the game a week ago, for xbox 360. Overall the game is practically the same as R6V, the only major noticeable difference being the ranking system. The textures in the game are pretty bland, but other than that I see no major problem with the game. Except maybe during online matches with quite a few players I expirience a lot of annoying glitches (Such as continous gunfire coming from nowhere).

i agree with anybody about the ranking system, and online play is pretty humpin awsome, but when you have 14 players the glitches are annyoing i have to turn the radio on just to not here the constant shooting from no where thing well anyways my name is my online name for ps3 only my dad's upsses with sony ADD ME!!!!

does the free weapon gift code disable any achievements for the game?

I just love this game... it's very similar to R6V and it's a very good game 2 play if u have a two week holiday (Jack ;D)! At the end it's a cool FPS with not that kinda great, attractive story and many glitches - i got stuck between the dorframe (maybe i should start working on my weight :P) etc., but it has a new ranking system and cool options and details, so... I love it!
