The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.
After playing the multiplayer demo for a couple days, I ended up making a purchase. I won't give you all the features because you can find that yourself. I'll just give you a rundown of what I think of it so far.
Bottom line: It's outside the box a bit for shooters. Darn fun, and feels a bit like a beta at times. I only play multiplayer.
The UAVs and attack drones are cool. You can dispatch a UAV, fly it around, then jump back to your character and any visible enemy to your UAV will be highlighted where you and your friends can then see them and attack.
The Full version is a lot better than the demo. On the demo, your game is hosted on somebody's 360, lag ensues. On the full version you can join dedicated servers that the developer hosts. My lag virtually disappeared in a 32 player game compared to the multiplayer demo with only 12 players.
The gameplay is kept on a small portion of the battlefield by objectives that you have to take to push the frontline forward. This makes coordinated efforts much more successful. Willdabeast and I proved a pretty strong team in the demo.
It's squad based so you can join up and communicate to a particular squad. I like this fact because I don't have to listen to 16 random people.
There is virtually no aim assistance. Combine this with very light rumble on your controller when firing, and it feels way different. I'm still getting used to it.
One of the coolest maps called "Invasion" one team starts on the other side of a mountain and you have to load up into Blackhawk like helicopters and then fly down into the valley in order to unload and capture objectives and push the frontline forward. The other team defends from the bottom down in the valley.
The game just sounds cool. Distant explosions sound realistic. Airstrikes and the guns of attack jets (that your friends are piloting) sound like I would guess they really sound.
It's rough around the edges. I'm guessing they were very ambitious with features and didn't have time to polish up some small things like the non existant pregame lobby, but in the end, I'm a fan. I'd like to see more games like this. Large maps, strategic warfare, futuristic, tons of vehicles.
The more people the better. It gets intense at times when your trying to capture or defend an objective from Helicopters, Tanks, Airstrikes, Rocket Launchers, Infantry, and Drones. The games usually last around 30 minutes, the better the other team is, the more fun.

Also, GGs Willdabeast and
Also, GGs Willdabeast and Foulbreed.
There's nothing like providing UAV support and intel for a coordinated attack on an enemy position. "WILL, TANK TO THE WEST!!, 2 INFANTRY TO THE EAST!!" That's when it really got fun.
I downloaded the demo
I downloaded the demo yesterday... I look forward to trying it out.

"Don't blow this, Gene!"
Cool, I'll see if anyone is
Cool, I'll see if anyone is on the multiplayer demo tonight. It's laggy compared to the real thing, but still fun anyways.
By the way: I still contend
By the way: I still contend that this game is one of the coolest gems out there right now for the 360. You know those COD4 moments where your team is doing so well that you've all got helicopters and airstrikes queued up. Well, imagine not having to wait to unleash your airstrike (or AC-130 gatlin gun fire controllable in realtime - which is my favorite btw). It's way different than CODd4, but has similar moments.
You get your skills by certain achievements each game similar to the radar/airstrike/helicopter upgrades in COD4.
Why they chose the worst map (Oil Field) in Frontlines for the demo, on an Xbox hosted server, I'm not sure. But jump into the Roundabout map on a hosted server with 32 people and it is very intense. I usually rack up a pretty high kill/death ration in that map.
