The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.
I got 2 NESes and a Sega Genesis last night. Played them a bit...so fun.
$50 for it all. 4 NES controllers, 4 Sega controllers. Several different RF adapters and power adapters. Actually, 2 NES systems and 1 Sega system. 2 NES guns, the original orange one and a gray one from 1985. Mario 1,2,3 of course, and Sonic 1,2,3. Got a bunch of other games for both systems I can't remember right now, as well. I'm probably going to get me a SNES and N64 and start re-acquiring games for them, as well. Anyone else still have the oldies?

Both of those systems bring back great memories. My Genesis survived a few garage sales, though my NES and 50 games unfortunately got sucked into one.

Yeah, I just put out a Craigslist ad looking for the others, like SNES, N64. I love emulators, but theres nothing quite like the real thing.

I played my genesis again a few months ago. It actually has its own permanent space on my entertainment bookcase. The game Flashback: The Quest for Identity is still a whole lot of fun to me. The animation in that game is sweet, especially for a system of that time.

I started half-heartedly collecting classic consoles about a year ago. The holy grail for me would be a Neo-Geo. I remember being in 6th grade and reading game mags about how awesome Neo-Geo was (and playing Neo Geo arcade games). Unfortunately, it was so expensive that I didn't even bother asking my dad for one, and he had bought me some expensive systems before, so that's saying alot. Neo-Geos go for $200-$300 on ebay. I also want a 3DO right now, but they're easy to find, and about $40-$50 used.

I've been thinking about getting a Wii just to play some class NES games.
