IWHBYD Skull Thread (Halo 3)

These days, the IWHBYD, (I Would Have Been Your Daddy), skull is quite elusive, and many whine, beg, and plead for help to find this slippery bastard. While I am well aware other threads have already been made on this matter, I'm hoping this will benefit a few people.
That's why I made this thread, to help and assisst everyone who cannot find this skull. Anyone who has something to contribute, please do help those in need (of this skull)
So how do you, a poor, helpless n00b, (or at leeast that's what I'm presuming, on the fact that you are reading this) , even begin to getting this much talked about `skull`? While the journey might be perilous, and filled with fraught, (not really) , if you truly want a bit of the Hayabusa set, follow my instructions caerufully.
On the level, `The Covenant`, start from the very beginning . After de-activating the second tower, (the dogfight with all the banshees), hop in the vehicle of your choice and head towards the Citadel. After the battle filled journey there, destroy the two Scarabs guarding the place, (with the Hornet) , by repeatedly firing your conviently mounted seeking missles at one of it's legs, (preferably the joints) , until it `crouches` down. Then, find the back-mounted engine core, and blow it up. Repeat this with the other one.
After defeating them, head down to the raised platform, where 343 Guilty Spark will be waiting. After he activates the ridiculously long bridge to the Citadel, run in with Arbiter, and watch the cutscene where Gravemind temporarily allies with you.
When traversing the rooms, let the Flood handle it, but pitch in periodically. WHen you reach Truth, watch the cutscene where Arbiter shkebobs him. Then, immediately, kill all Flood that you see in the different chambers. WHile they have no impact that I've heard of on the skull, I'm a firm believer that no-one enjoys being chased by a fungal parasite.
After clearing the place, you'll probably have noticed the giant Halo holograms floating around. Your next task will be to jump through them. Trust me, when this is over, you'll be sick of these holographic rings.
My strategy to finding this tricky little easter egg is from Trigger 119's video on finding skulls;while leaving behind the popular, short method of jumping through them in 4 6 4 5 3 4 or w/e order, (the number having to do with what order the rings are placed, from the starting room, ex: The rings in Truth's room are 6/7) , follow his 13 jumps method, it worked for me just fine.
However, I do not gurantee antthing. A lot of people say different combinations work for them. If time is plentiful, try all of them. Also, one vital piece of intel - jump down the chute marked with a waypoint, and Save/Quit on the next level
I hope this helped. If you wish to contribute to what I have written, please write *HELP/ASSISTANCE* on the first line of writing in your comment. I'll add a section where I will write your method. I will take all of them into consideration, if time permits. If your way is a clone of what someone else wrote, don't expect it to end up here.

Nah I'm just messin with ya, buddy. I play halo too, I've just been enjoying CoD4 for awhile. I didn't mean nothin by it.

I have also been enjoying beating the crap out of the drums in INSINUATING CHAOS(The semi official band of THX) We've been having problems with our bassist though... if you just happen to know a good one we could sure use him. We were covering Green Grass and High Tides, and we were about 6 minutes into it and our bass player just losses it and we all end up getin screwed over cause we lack a commited bass player who is profitient in the skills of the bass. it's too much sometimes ya know? trying to keep a band together when not everyone (yeah I'm talking about you andy!) is as commited as you are. But I digress, halo's fun I was just making a joke because THX as a whole has been playing alot of CoD4 lately and it just seemed funny at the time. I would love it if you would come and join us sometime on one of our relentless assults on the so called "gamers" who play CoD.

Sadly, I don't know any bassists. I'd help but...where do you live? Also, COD4 looks like an ok game, though making fun of it's pretty easy, (Call of D*** 4). I would, but who are THXers? Are they everyone who visit this site?

Dude... your a little late to the party. We have a thread that is a billion pages long on this thing... and a very helpful video telling you EXACTLY what you need to do. No offense, but your post is pretty much an echo.
Plus, you just told the THX founder where he can't post... I'm pretty sure he's not gonna take too kindly to that. :)
those two words should never ever be put in the same sentence unless it reads, "OMFG CoD4 is SOOOO not easy!!!" and yes THXers are the privledged individuals who flag THX(The Hushed C(X)asket) at the front of their gamer tags.

$DI'm not offended. Tanis thought I was ridiculing his grammar, when I really was not. I was ridiculing the fact that, as Slayer said, the longest thread in THX history is devoted to this topic and it has at least one video (doesn't it have two?) describing the location of each skull.
My first post is a mock of 90% of the commenters in the thread we're referencing, who all think they're "clearing up confusion" and repeatedly state the requirements for the samurai helmet even though 1. it's been stated 24 times before they stated it and 2. nobody is confused about it in the first place.
I admire your desire to contribute, Tanis, but this topic is probably #1 on our list of things that don't need further contributing. I encourage you to contribute in other ways and not let this discourage you.
