The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.
I could argue that Duke Nukem Forever is the most anticipated first person shooter of all time. Since there are many Halo fans on this website, I won't do that...
until later. However, this is some of the biggest gaming news in years.
From 3drealms: a video teaser of Duke Nukem Forever will be posted online tomorrow. For now, check out the screenshot found above.

Oh, come on, rap. Big news?
Oh, come on, rap. Big news? A trailer?
If the game ever comes out, that'll be big news.
If it comes out after all this time and is actually decent, that'll be huge news.
But a trailer?
I'm surprised they don't have more shame than this. I think there shouldn't be a peep about this game until there's a demo.
Rampant for over seven years.
I've never seen a game so
I've never seen a game so stuck in limbo as this one.
Holy crap.
Holy crap.
I'm calling it early: if it
I'm calling it early: if it comes out, it'll be after 2008.
I have an opinion about this
I have an opinion about this game. It may turn out to be completely wrong, but here goes:
Duke Nukem Forever isn't the most highly anticipated title, it's just the only title that has taken forever and darn ever to develop, disappointing lots of people, which gives the perception of high anticipation. The project has gone through numerous funding and development setbacks. The team has had a hard time keeping developers over time I believe. It will be a magnificent game when they pull it off, but the problems they've had to face are numerous and it's been a virtual disaster so far.
Why? I think they want perfection, but that's something that isn't achievable when they don't have the financial backing to throw a horde of people at the problem rather than chip away at it for a decade.
I'm really pulling for this project, but it's gained a bit of notoriety because of the problems theyve been having.
