COD4 Patch Coming in December. Details Announced.

My favorite XBL multiplayer title is getting a much needed patch, and fourzerotwo has announced many of the details on his blog here.

Highlights from my perspective:

-Fixed "corrupt create-a-class data" so Disavowed can play online with us
-More bandwidth required to host Ground War games
-Showdown, Bloc, Ambush, and Pipeline have been added to almost all of the playlists that they were excluded from
-Team Hardcore is now split into Hardcore Death Match and Hardcore Search and Destroy
-Added kill cam to everything (bombs, claymores, etc)
-Added host migration so the game doesn't end if the host leaves

What's not included that should be:

-XBL style party system for LAN environment
-Removing Shipment from Domination and Headquarters gametypes

This is where 402 has been inconsistent. He refers to the two updates as being separate, meaning playlist update and the patch. From InfinityWard.com, he makes the same distinction, and says that the playlist update is coming first, then the patch. But, at his blogspot (which I hadn't read, until now), he implies that the patch is coming first.

I'm hoping for the latter. Or, if they both happen in December, then it's a moot point. Either way, I just want to play!

looks like a lot of good changes! I'm just getting into the MP so I don't know all the bad things...can't wait!
