Official Rock Band DLC Thread

Use this thread to discuss existing and future downloadable content (DLC) for Rock Band.

So far I have purchased the Metallica Track pack, which includes the songs ...And Justice for All, Blackened, and Ride the Lightning.

Available now is another track pack that catches my eye: Black Sabbath. It features the songs War Pigs, Sweet Leaf, and Nativity in Black (NIB). While those are three killer songs, they are all covers. I like the cover of Paranoid in Rock Band, but it does leave something to be desired compared to the original. It's OK, nobody is expected to be able to reproduce the vocals of Ozzy in his prime. Either way, I'm probably gonna pass on this until I hear them somewhere else.

Anybody else purchased any DLC?

I bought the Metallica pack as well...Ride the Lightning is awesome to play. Still haven't really played all the way through And Justice for All or Blackened yet, but plan to tomorrow night. Also, I bought Fortunate Son, Jukebox Hero, and The Joker & the Thief...the first two are covers from CCR and Foreigner if you didn't know already. I have always liked Fortunate Son since I was a little nub and now still like it as I'm a really big nub.

I will probably buy the Police pack next as these things add alot to the playlist when you have to play alone all the time. Drums are hard for me on the later songs on medium and after playing Green Grass and High Tides my arms burned and my right foot was numb and shaking a little because of the 5 mins of constant foot pumping...I feel the burn!

I like what rockband is doing with the dlc and just wish gh3 would get the same treatment for the same price. Harmonix knows how to treat a game, gh2 is still even getting some new content. Sadly, as Activision just announced they want to become the new EA and start pumping out games/gh's annually, so I'm sure that means less dlc since we can look forward to another one next November. Atleast I have plenty of guitars now to where I just can buy the game.

I downloaded the Metallica and Queens of the Stone Age song packs. I think my favorite song is blackened.

I wish they would release a All That Remains song pack with "This Darkened Heart, Regret Not, Become The Catalyst, and Empty Inside.

Agreed, Hub. I love that Rock Band works your DLC into the campaign.

Blackened is also my favorite song to play.
