Disappointing, but I think COD4 stands a good chance of usurping Halo 3 as THX's primary game. I'm gonna fuel that fire and buy it, if only for multiplayer.

My excitement for the game has also dwindled. I expected a much longer campaign from CoD4.

The gameplay of the CoD4 MP beta was better than Halo 3, IMO. I might as well buy the game, but I don't think THX will adopt it like they adopted CoD2...especially with all of the other titles coming out soon.

Multiplayer was awesome! I am definitely buying this one, along with Mass Effect.

I think THX will largely adopt COD4. Almost all of us got in on the Beta, and everybody that played it loved it. We regularly had 6 of us online in the Beta. After the full release I can see that being 10 pretty easily. And if 10 of us are playing and raving about it, then the rest will want to join in.

I hope COD4 LANs replace Halo 3 LANs, because as rapture said, I think COD4 multiplayer is more fun than Halo 3 multiplayer. I bet it'll give me all 720 of my horizontal lines too, unlike H3! :)

For me, I will be playing whatever everyone else is playing. That is why I game, to play with everyone else. Except for a few exceptions, that is how I have chosen what games to buy in the past. So, even thought I think Halo 3 is worth playing more than we have and will, I will be switching to CoD4 when it comes out, because that is where my friends will be.

Well, I'll be switching to COD4. I don't know if everyone else will. I certainly hope they do, but as you said, I play mostly for the social aspect, so if I'm alone in playing COD4 then I'll probably put H3 back in...but I don't think that will be the case.

Well, that sucks for me. I doubt I'll move to CoD4 since I'm trying to be competitive in Halo 3. Was looking forward to another big LAN :/

Oh well, shit happens.

I am pleased with halo 3 and guitar hero will also hold my attention for months.
