there is also a "unknown skull" (that nobody knows what it does but some just say its just another blind skull) on the cortana level, when u enter the room where you have to blow up the generators the skull is on the overhang right above where you first enter, its near the edge

Question: after picking up the white skull, do you have to complete the level with the skull in hand? or just pick it up, save and quit? I believe I've gotten all 13 skulls and I still don't have my Hayabusa Helm

All you have to do it pick it up. You don't have to play with it any longer.

Great video. Stupid question - I was on the Crow's Nest knocking out both of those skulls - got the first one in the opening room then proceeded to get the one in which you jump and crouch under the pipe. I grabbed it but never got an achievement. Can you only get one per level playthrough?

i got a problem i cant get the iron skull and the grunt birthday skull i get to both the spots and they arent there anyelse having this issue?

For the silver covenant skull, an easier ring jumping order that worked for me:

4 6 5 4 5 3 4

I did it after the custscene on the way back out.

wicked guide, just 1 thing that sticks in my mind: 1) how the hell did u figure out (or any1 for that matter) that u had to jump thru the rings in a spesific order to get the skull :) 2) how long it take u to get the right combination hehe

1. rode warthog up to the cylinder structure
2. jumped up onto structure
3. skull not there

(AND i left both wraiths alive)

what am i doing wrong - ive tried on normal, heroic and legendary

Good information and the music is cool too, I am still having problems getting the grunt birthday party skull though, I went to the exact spot where it is supposed to be but it is just not there and I have tried it on normal and herioc but still no dice, please advice.

For the on the Storm level you can't destroy the wrath to get the one on the storm. you just have to jump up there while it's working. CO-OP with 1 distracting wrath works well. It is fine to kill the ghosts

for the second covanant second skull, that you have to go through all the rings for... i did this on co op, and it worked, the skull actualy appeard. i picked it up and waited a bit saved... but i didnt get the skull in my collection... this is the last one i need too... any ideas? im gona try it again tonight on solo in case that had somethin to do with it, but i was so sad, lvl is like an hour long

i've gotten all the skulls but i need the iwhbyd skull i will try to get it today, hopefully the video steps worked

Ok... so in reply to my first post, 2 posts ago.... i re beat the entire lvl from mission start... on normal difficulty... and i picked up the skull after doing the 13 ring jump sequence... (This is the last skull i need!) and waited about 5 seconds... save and quit. and yet again it shows nothing unlocked on my last silver skull... i dont understand why. has this happened to anyone before? how can i fixx it... im SURE im on normal diff. and im sure im starting from mission start, so dont tip saying check those. this is actualy just lumberjackish... heeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllppppppppp

Silver skulls don't cout as acheivments, only the gold skulls do. I thought the same thing at first, but my friend told me, there are like only 3 silver's, and the rest are gold. You still need all of them to unlock armor though.

I'm having the same problem that every other person posted in here and it seems it was left unanswered. I can't find some skulls particularly the Iron Skull, was able to find the "Blind" skull and the other ones but I can't move on without finding the first one.. I tried to look for it on Normal, Heroic, Legendary but nothing happens.... :(

Do I need to start the mission from the beginning? (I was loading Sierra 117 - Rally point Bravo)...

Hope someone can help us...

You have to start from the beginning of the level, or the skull WILL NOT be there!

YES u do have to keep 1 wraith alive, but strangely u also have to beat the game in normal, heroic, or legendary, and then go back and get the skull, yea i know it sucks, but i hope this helps ~Peace

I can't find the catch skull in the storm. I have left the wraiths alive, I have tried killing the other enemies, I have tried running to the silo right away, the skull never appears there. Any suggestions?

-if u dont kill the AA wraith and jump the purple one farther away from it punch it 3 times and the pilot will die and u can jack it. line it up with the platform with the skull and jump, u dont have much time cuz the AA wraith mite shoot u but it worked 4 me

-Guys as soon!!! SOOON as u get outside rush straight their and throw a bomb and jump and it will be their...... You will have to do this in a certain TIME limit i think 10 min., and DONT kill the WRAITHS it has to be the first objective...... I had the same problem to but then i did it got it????

-dont shoot the wraiths just kill the gunners on the and kill all the ghost drivers i got it not by grenade jump but but driveing 3 ghosts on the inside of the round buiding lol
if u destroy the wraiths the skull disappears

FYI... for the skull "IWHBYD" on the covenant stage when you have to jump through the rings, you only need jumps 4-6-5-4-5-3-4. trust me...i did it. got it from halo.wiki website. TAKE HEED!

just pick them up using the right bumper on your 360 controller. They should shortly show up on your XBL Achievements.

I'm not sure tdizzle. I usually wait until after I clear all the enemies in the area after Truth is dead, and follow the sequence. it works 100% of the time. Remember to always do it from Mission Start.

I reached the Famine Skull on The Ark by using 3 ghosts & a chopper. once you get up on the platform, follow the ridge on left hand side(from top looking down), & you will see that a vehicle can easily be driven to the top...however, there is a ledge they can't get past. I park three ghosts in a pyramid, & ramped the chopper onto the platform(cause its the highest off the ground)...from there its cake. Just thought I'd post this for anyone having trouble with the grenade jump.

hey guys just an extra bit of info for the IWHBYD skull, once you get the right ring sequence they start blinking with light indicating the skull has appeared, and once you pick it up you have to hold it longer than regular skulls(id play it safe with a good 20 secs).

you have to start from Mission Start on ALL the skulls, silver and gold.

acutally, You don't have to start from the beginning on ALL of the skulls, ican't remember which one it was i did it on but, oh yeah, its the grunt party skull, i just started from the scorpion point and it was there.

I beat the game on heroic and i left the wraith alive and i started from the beginning.

I beat the game on herohic and started from the beginning abd the wraith is still alive

I found some of the skulls like the black eye skull and i got my achievment for it but

before that i found the grunt birthday party skull and i didnt recieve any achievment

so i figured that i needed to finish the level with it, and so i did i beat it on

legendary with the skull in hand and still nothing!? So then i found the blind skull

sitting on the rock by the cliff and again i pick it up and nothing happened no

achievment, nothing. i find that the only way these skulls appear is if i try and find

them on legendary? and that i need to start the level from the start and not start at

any check points. pls help me i dont understand how to get these skulls to unlock and

get my achievments.

I picked up the skull on Sierra 117, the earliest one, but it didnt give me an acheivement? I have found 6 other skulls including the other one on that level and they gave me an achievement but that one doesn't give me an achievement. Could someone please tell me why and help me out. thankyou.

You don't get achievements for silver skulls.

After picking up a skull, press "Start", then "Save and Quit". It takes you to the Campaign Lobby. Press "X" button to "Edit Campaign Options" and you should see all of the skulls you have acquired. You don't get Achievements for all of them.

Throw a grenade at your feet and jump just before it explodes. The explosion should propel you further/higher than a regular jump.

i got to the spot of the cowbell skull and it isnt there. when i use the grav lift and got up there it seems to gone. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you place the grav lift on the fourth green dot from the door you come in from, then run and jump into the lift.
Also make sure that you get to the very top shelf because that is the one with the skull in it.
Also remember that you have to start from the beginning of the level on normal or higher.

pick up iwhbyd whack a flood in the face with it
save and quit and it didnt show up in my skulls

guys i did the level for the iwbyd skull i did like every sequence avalabe nad nothing :( i idid htat levle for 2 hours trying 2 get the skull but nothing yes started from begining and now im wondering if u need 2 do it on legendary. the other 1 at the beginging of that level was there so weird can u help me trigger????

Dude, your a humping retard. Stop being a dumb noob and listen. People HATE NOOBS! You only get achievements for getting gold skulls, not silver skulls. Silver skulls are just for fooling around in the game, although you can showcase that you got them. When your on the campaign screen, press x to edit campaign options, and it shows all the skulls you have and don't have. There are 4 silver skulls in all [blind, grunt birthday, iwhybyd, and cowbell] You can also turn on the silver ones for fun, as well as the gold ones which alter the game by making it harder in some way. Though the gold skulls alter the game to make it harder, they also act as score multipliers in campaign scoring. The more gold skulls there are on, the higher score multiplier you have. Now stop being a n00bin up the place, will ya?

I'm a complete and utter Halo fan. I've read the books and actually enjoy the plot, unlike those who bought it for the online gaming. AM hoping fo XBOX LIVe.

An easier way to get the skull on the storm without stacking the ghist up is to just throw out a cover deploy close to the tank to where you can jump between the shield and the tank and then jump up to the top. It is also easier to do this without taking any fire from any enemies

Also an easier way to get the tough luck skull on the highway. instead of making a precise jump around the pole like trigger did. you can just climb the pipe surrounded by fence and drop down on a ledge on the pipe and it will have you lined up perfect to fall straight down on the ledge on the other side of the pipe.

All together it was an awesome video and interesting music for the type of video. bit thanks and it helped me alot.

well i still cant figure out how far the skull is in the level cortana. people say where it is but i dont know how far into the game it is plz help!

Do you know how to find the terminal on the level? I don't think so. There is a tunnel connecting the area where there is a crashed Pelican, and where the skull is. Go through the tunnel, drop through the weird 'door' , and head forward. The central area where a bunch of enemies are is where you should move left. Keep trying to get on the protrusion by the see-through barrier.

everytime i get the skulls and shut the game off for the night the next day i dont have the skulls. Do you know why?

You did get the gamerscore, I'm guessing. whenever you shut off your xbox you lose whatever effect the skull had on the game. It's just how the cookie crumbles.

Perhaps. I've never seen anyone not get the skulls AND the gamerscore at the exact same time. Might be your copy of H3, as well. I can't say for sure.

Make sure it's not just because you have notifications off, or something. I thought I didn't get the gamerscore until I looked at it on Xbox.com . Anything besides, that, I dunno.

Not sure, beer. I never tried getting more than one per level run. I think you can only do one per runthrough.

You get the achievment but it wont say. When you get both save and quit and go to skulls. It will be there.

on the storm skull the catch i can never get it im on normal i destory the anti air wraith and still nothing please help

you can get more then one skull through a level i got the two on the ark i think theres two on that one in the same run

you dont get achivement for the grunt birthday skull. thats a silver. you only get acheivements for gold skulls hope that helps

i found a glitch on sierra117 right after the pelican crashes where you get grenades. if you run to after you kill the brute you can get on bottom of water w/o dieing. right where the waterfall is jump in there close to waterfall not in though and you are under water.

U hav to be on normal and the second skull u got in Crow's Nest is a silver skull, so it gives you no achivement.

Ur a frickin retard the grunt birthday skull is silver, so it doesn't have an achivement related to it.

I cant get the storm skull. Ive tried almost 100 times without destroying the tanks and the skull is not there and it never appears after waiting for almost half an hour.

... Start from MISSION START and kill everything! make sure you have 2 people just in case you lose your GRAV. LIFT (you dont "need" two people , just an option)
You cannot forget that the skull is on the top bunker thingy...

MUST BE ON NORMAL OR HIGHER BUT I RECOMMEND NORMAL TO GET THROUGH THE LEVEL EASIER AND NOT WAIST SOOOOO MUCH TIME!

it IS another blind skull, someone hacked the game and took a look at the skull and realised that bungie must have put 2 in by accident.
