Hayabusa is the name of a popular motorcycle (one of the most powerful stock motorcycles in production). Could it have to do with vehicles, even the Brute Chopper?

Can anybody prove that you get the scout shoulders by getting the "We're in for some chop" achievement. I did it and I do not have the armor.

It's called "Hayabusa" armor because of the Ninja Gaiden character created by Team Ninja. If you remember, Team Ninja showcased Spartan-458 in their Dead or Alive 4 game.

I've heard that the Hayabusa armor is unlocked by finding all of the skulls. Obviously, that's not confirmed yet, but that's the most definite-sounding explanation I've heard.

It is unlocked with skulls, confirmed by me (i have them) We're just not so sure about the helm piece, hence people trying to find the IWHBYD skull, which "should/could" unlock the final helm piece.

i don't think this list is accurate, ive gotten triple kills, reached sergeant rank, and ive got the used car salesman achievement, but no new helmets unlocked...

I am pretty sure the Mongoose Mowdown achievement gives you the scout shoulders.

The achievements are flawed. I had to do the used car salesman thing THREE times before I got the achievement. I also know tons of people who have done multiple things and and either not gotten achievements and or/armor. But the above is how you get the armor.

One more thing. Initial reports confirm that obtaining ALL the skulls (gold and white) will unlock the Hayabusa head piece. The rest of the armor is unlocked by subsequently finding various gold skulls.

yes i have all the gold skulls. I have one silver skull but i still have all the armor exept the head pice so im asuming that you get it from the last silver skull

Durr. There's thirteen skulls in all, I think. Nine of them are gold and the rest are the silver skulls.

Hubcap informed me that he got some achievements by finishing the game on co-op (not sure which difficulty level), but that all those achievements had been "taken away". But he said the other person he did it with still has their achievements.

If I remember correctly, "Headshot Honcho" must be done with a sniper rifle.

As of current, the only people with the Hyabusa helmet are those with all 13 skulls, or at the very least the IWHBYD skull. That being said, the IWHBYD skull is quite difficult to find. Last hex read I saw basically has you fighting through the level "The Covanent" with *all* skulls on until you get to the 7 Halo rings. Hit them in a specific order and the IWHBYD music will play and the skull will appear in your hands. Only problem with that, is that it's damn hard to get past the first battle with all those skulls on, much less the whole map...

I've been trying to get full Scout armor for so long now. And like many people I was frustrated when I didn't get the shoulder pieces by mining a Brute chopper in Tsavo Highway. So I hopped online and did some searching, and apparently Mongoose Mayhem is in fact the achievement you need to get for the Scout shoulder pieces. This needs to be corrected in all the guides I've seen so far. Yes, it is an error.

Having spent nearly 4-5 hours waiting for Matchmaking to throw me into Isolation (the ONLY ranked FFA map with a Mongoose on the playlist), I finally manage to mow down someone with a Mongoose and get the achievement. Granted it cost me the game (since it was Oddball) but oh well I got my damn achievement and armor and I'm glad I never have to go through that again.

The sad thing is I've actually already mowed down at least two people in a Mongoose so far, while being a lone driver. But it was a social team skirmish match instead. I don't understand why the achievement wouldn't be given to me if I'm pretty much doing the same thing, except the fact that it wasn't a FFA ranked game. Seems kinda dumb. They need to adjust the playlists a little bit so you can have some reasonable opportunity of making those achievements.

Hayabusa helmet can be obtained by getting the IWHBYD silver skull. Which i have just done and have all pieces to Hayabusa, helmet and all.

i think you need to complete the game on legendary to get it...=/

you dont have to have all skulls on when u get the iwhbyd skull. i did it last night in 20 mins with my friends and we just kinda ran thru on normal. halo3planet.com has the ring order, all u gotta do is jump thru them and it appears on the bridge by where u killed the arbiter. its not that hard really and once u have all the skulls u get the huyabusa armor...i have it and i have to say it looks pretty sweet lol

You can combine both gold and silver skulls for the armor to unlock.

Hayabusa is with all skulls as has been said. I got it about an hour ago.

I beat legendary and it was not there, I had all but the IWHBYD skull. After getting that one the Hayabusa Helm (option 5/10) was in my sets.

But I am still missing opiton 6/10 and 10/10 helmets, even after finishing the game on legendary in solo. I know one of them is the security (Marathon) helm, but don't know what the other is.

I have all of the shoulder and body pieces for the Spartans, just not those 2 helms.

to get headshot honcho u either need to get 10 headshots with a sniper in campaign or in matchmaking

I have 825 achievement points and I don't have the security shoulders.

There is no such achievement as "mongoose meyhem" its called "mongoose mowdown"

To get the IWHBYD skull, go to the seven rings, and jump through them in order. You can do it with no skulls on, and on normal. 1 being closest to the start, and 7 being near the prophet, go in this order.

The rings should glow, and then go to the bridge leading to the prophet. It should be there.

the Security shoulder armor isn't unlocked by getting 750 gamerscore points. I have 810 in Halo 3 alone and I still don't have these shoulder pieces.

Mark V………….Unlock "UNSC Spartan" Achievement (Reach Sergeant ranking online)

I have done all of these and have yet to gain any armor which is why im here...

i got the scout helmet by getting that acheivment and u get the hayubasa armor by getting all the skulls and unlocking all acheivments.

I just want to say a minor statement: I acquired the "Used Car Salesman" Achievement by blowing off the front plasma turret on a Phantom in The Crow's Nest. I guess because a Phantom has more than three Covenant in it, blowing off a turret is akin to destroying the vehicle?

In order to get the Hayabusa Helmet and stuff you have to collect all skulls. You can find a guide on Youtube.com on ways to find the skulls with video. I did it all in an hour last night with a friend.

Ok, I would just like to add first of all that I have all of the achievements for Halo 3 so I know that the problem that I am having is not due to this fact. I even have the secret Katana armor which puts a Katana on your SPARTAN's back. My problem is getting the Commando Shoulders for the Elite. For some reason I still do not have them even though, like I said, I have all of the Halo 3 achievements. Any ideas anyone?

You guys should really add the Katana armor to the list by the way. Only the coolest freakin' armor ever.

Last thing for today, I promise. To get your Headshot Honcho achievement, you have to use a sniper rifle and you have to kill a Brute. I had a problem with this achievement as well but that's what I figured out would work. Also, Scout shoulders are not unlocked through getting the We're in for Some Chop achievement. That was another error that I found. I don't know exactly what triggers it, but I know that you need the We're in for Some Chop achievement and a little more.

I got the IWHBYD skull but i did it on normal. You just need to know the correct combination of rings. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I won't say it, but if you check out some other sites, i'm sure you can find it.

hayabusa is actually the name of a japanese falcon, which is where the motorcycle got it's name. and you unlock the armor by finding all the gold and silver skulls in campaign mode.

I got the Used Car salesman achievement but didn't get the Scout helmet. I think the problem might be I got it in a really weird way. On the first level (playing on Easy) I stuck a grenade to the turret of the Phantom that comes at the very end just as the Pelican shot it down, so it credited me with the kills and gave me the achievement. But now I dont have the helmet and im really scared I screwed it up by doing it weird.

Any ideas?

You have to unlock all the skulls to get the helmet 6 to get the body and 9 to get the shoulders

I got the hayabusa and yes u need to get the all the skulls. I got the where in for some chop achievement but i did not get the scout pads. I gonna try getting the mongoose mowdown achievement though.

the way you get the hyb... is that you get the sculls.

get 6 sculls u get the body of the hyb...

get 9 sculls u get the arm pads of the hyb...

get all 13 sculls u get the helment of the hyb...

To get the Hayabusa armor u have to get all of the skulls.

To get this strait: The Hayabusa armor is unlocked by collecting all the skulls, some earlier than others. The hardest one to find is the IWHBYD skull, which is unlocked by jumping through the rings in The Covenant level, at the end, in this order:4654534. 1=closest ring to entrance, 7=closest to prohet end of the hall. There are various skull finding guides I have heard, although I tracked them all down myself. For all of you trying to unlock that pesky 13th skull...here is what you do...

On the level "The Covenant", the loooooong hallway towards Truth...there are 7 rings on that bridge. By jumping through them in a certan order... you can unlock the skull...want to know how? here it is...

(now 1 = the Ring at the beginning of the hallway through. 7 = The last one closest to Truth.) Here is a hint when I did it... do the cutscene when the Arbiter kills Truth and must escape. After that, slay all of the flood so they dont bother you.

Yes I know...you'll be jumping and running for awhile. when competed the rings should glow and flash. Now go to the bridge at the end when u fought Truth. The shoould be a Skull there. The IWHBYD Skull. This Skull changes dialoge in Campaign. (listen to some of Johnsons comments kinda funny)

no hyabusa is the ninja clan name in the popular ninja gaiden seris, because of the designers envolvment in the making of the game they decided to add a tribute into the game especially for him.

Not that it matters cause 99.9% of the people who post never reads anyone else's post even tho the information they need is right there, you don't need to jump through the rings in this order: 456576541232721346754654534. You only need the last 7 numbers, 4654534. Yes, 6 skulls unlocks the Hayabusa body, 9 for the shoulder and all 13 for the helmet. I haven't had any trouble with my achievements (that I've noticed) so I can't really relate to people who is having trouble on that front. Also, to the guy who posted earlier about the "Used Car Salesman" achievement, I got that achievement (I think...) by destroying the prowler that attacks you while on Tsavo Highway (Can't remember if thats the correct level) or by destroying the turret on a Phantom in Crow's Nest. For the record, I know basically everything I've just said has already be posted (I'm one of that .1% that reads EVERYTHING before I post and make myself look stupid) but most of it was mentioned around the first to middle posts so I thought I'd get it out again.

I'm having the same problem, I have all the achievments, am a lieutenant, have all the skulls, and found all the termanals. I don't have the shoulders though. Btw, how do you get the Katana?

It was the easy part that screwed you over. I got Used car salesman the same way and have the scout helmet now.

Now read the below and gasp.

Hayabusa Helmet = All 13 Skulls
Hayabusa Body Armour and Shoulders = 5 Skulls

The following are GOLD SKULLS:
Iron - Sierra 177
(Easy to explain, on Sierra 117 when you see the Brute with a Gravity Hammer kicking Johnson, this is the area you need to be in.
There may or not be Jackals with Beam Rifles (Covenant Snipers - not Carbines) shooting you on a balcony on the far side opposite to you, get to that point.
As you are up there continue round it until you get to a cream coloured brick wall, go round the corner and the Skull should be in a small space to your right, at the end.

Black Eye - Crow's Nest
(Very smart place to put a Skull and very nice to explain.
At the start you have no guns and are surrounded by marines and a big fat bomb. Look up and there shall be a pipe, get on it!
The Skull is at the end!

Tough Luck - Tsavo Highway
(Very smart place indeed!
Continue Tsavo Highway until you go through a tunnel after destroying a blue plasma/laser wall that stops vehicles.
Go up it and come out of it, you should see a long pipe to your left.
Get on the buildings nearby and jump over to the pipe, dont go to the end, look to your left as you go along it, as soon as you are blocked by a taller yellow, fenced wall - jump over it and look directly to your left and DOWN.
There should be a small floor next to the pipe, jump down to it and then jump down to a balcony. Go to the end and look to your left, the Skull should be on an ingrowing cliff on the rock wall.)

(As you start The Storm, you go through 2 buildings with open areas, the first one has nothing but annoying Covenant forces.
Get to the NEXT OPEN AREA.
Get onto the building with Covenants on it near the Missile Pod and zoom in on a SHORT TOWER on its own next to the giant wall opposite the one you just came out of.
You shall see the Skull on the middle of the top, grenade jumps may be necessary or getting a warthog up to the wall then putting a ghost on it. Or be smart and save the wraith and get on there easily.

Tilt - Cortana
(This shall be hard to explain but I shall try my best!
On Cortana, carry on the mission until you fall down a hole into the next floor of High Charity.
There are 3 closed red doors, and 1 open, unable to see as it is constantly open.
You will come to a large room with just a purple floor infront of you, it is right above you, clear the Flood as it can be very annoying trying to get a Skull and get owned by Flood at the same time!
There are large Fungi growing on the walls to your left, try and jump on them, then there is more above you - jump on those.
Jump on the Fungi until you see a molded path made of 'sand' as I would say joining where you are to the top of the room, the Skull is there near a load of guts and boness

Mythic - Halo
(VERY SNEAKY! At the start of Halo, when you walk under the cave and go past a rock to your right, you see the wind rushing round the walls as if it were all a wall, its a hidden pathway.
Basically as you start Halo, just go through the cave and the path, keep looking to your right, you will lead to a shorter path and lots of rocks, a Skull is right there)

Thunderstorm - The Covenant
(Very sneaky infact, on the 2nd tower after you de-activate the first tower and _Get in The Hornets_!
You are easily mindtracked to the 3rd tower, but the 1 in between opposite the Anti-Air Wraith you fly over has the Skull in it.
The Skull is NOT INSIDE the 2nd tower.
You land your Hornet on the bottom of the 2nd tower, go up the ramp, do not go inside down the ramp, turn around and there are shall be another ramp behind you, the Skull is up there at the end.)
Famine - The Ark
(There are 2 equal man-made floors on 1 start of the wall, 1 you go through, the other just for show.Its on the 1 for show.
The one im talking about is where 2 ghosts drive over the hill underneath it as you continue your mission.

(Last part after you skill the Scarab)

Need help getting the Hayabusa Helmet... Heres the deal:

All 13 skulls HAVE been collected, but there is still no Hayabusa Helmet... I find no reason at all for it to not be there, except for one. Does the entire game need to be completed on Solo or Co-op? This is because I havent completed the game on either mode completely... Half of it was done Co-op, the other half Solo, but the entire game IS completed.

Give some input on this (such as if you have the helmet, but havent completely finished the game on a single mode, or received the helmet after completing the entire game on a single mode with all 13 skulls)

That might be true, but in this case, its refered to Ryu Hayabusa. The character you play with in the 'Ninja Gaiden' series. Look it up :).

And the Hayabusa armor/headpiece/shoulderpads are gained by collecting all the skulls in the game, the golden and silver ones (13 in total). Check some videos on Youtube.com to get the exact locations and stuff...

okay for u idots who want to clear up some of the armor, here is some of them

Scout head: yah, used car salesman but i got it by killing a prowler w/ al four brutes in it,but there are other ways.
Scout shoulders: mongoose mowdown for sure, but i only got it w/ one kill and a killjoy.
OKAY finally want you want, the project Hayabusa armor...
Shoulders: get nine of the skulls
Chest: get five of the skulls
Head: get all 13 skulls
Now, to the get the IWHBYD (i wonder how but you did) skull, on the level the covenant, you will get to the part were the flood help you. after you progess and kill truth with them, it will go back out of the cutscene. the flood will attack you.kill them off and get back to the end. before you jump down the chute, turn around so all of those rings are facing you. there should be seven. next, jump thru these rings in this order...(if your not sure were to start, the first ring to jump thru has red marking up at the top right)

all of the rings will light up and will start playing the halo song. got to the front again on the magical bridge and the skull will be sitting there. you wont get an achievement since its a slilver skull, not a gold.

I know how to get the Hayabusa armor. You have to get all the skulls (13) and you'll have the full set.

6 skulls gives you the body

10 (might be more or less) gives shoulders

13 (all) gives headpiece

1,000 GamerScore gives body with sword

It is CONFIMRED!! To get the Hayabusa armor you need to unlock all 13 skulls. And to get credit for the IWHDYD skull to need to FIRST jump thru the rings in the right order and COMPLETE the misson. DO NOT SAVE AND QUIT ONCE YOU HAVE FOUND IT!!!!

you dont need to keep the skulls on, but i aint going to tell you the order to jump, nor when and where.

no i had this trouble last night. i have figured out that you have to get a the mongoose mowdown achievment in a ranked free for all game.

You get that last hayabusa armor part by either getting all 13 skulls, or activating all 7 terminals. I know if you get all 7 terminals, it unlocks the marathon man achievement. the armor is linked to the IWHBYD skull, I know. I forget if its actually just get the skull, or get all 13. And I know EXACTLY how to get the skull too, but I cant seem to do it, or do it right.

You start the mission from the beginning, hit all checkpoints, then after you kill Truth (or rather, the Arbiter does), then you kill all the Flood. Make sure you get the checkpoint at the end, before the blue lit pithole you go through, but don’t go through it. Supposedly it will only work if you wait until the Flood battle music ends. Then do the last 7 keys of the number sequence you listed (only the last 7 are needed). Do them in order. They’re supposed to make note tunes when you go through them, and after doing all 7, the Halo theme song plays. (1 is by the “pithole”, 7 is by Truth. #4 is the one with red on it, because it represents Installation 04, which was destroyed and being rebuilt).

The rings should also light up in a liner fashion. Go to the bridge leading to where you killed Truth. The IWHBYD skull should be right before it, up there by the screen to activate it.

Thats what Ive seen about it so far. Like I said, I tried once, and I didn’t get it, which I’m thinking I didn’t hit the checkpoints. But it only lets you get it if you hit ALL checkpoints. This is supposed to unlock the armor.

I've been looking around the net and you actually get the Hayabusa helmet by getting the IWHBYD skul by jumping through the rings on the covenant level in this order: 4565765412327211346754654534. Of course you have to start the level from the beginning. I don't know if this is true but i'm going to try and see

You can only get things by do things in normal,Heroic or Legendary....

Okay, I'm just going to say, THIS LIST IS NOT VERY HELPFUL. No offense to Hushed Casket, But the list is incomplete. There are 10 spartan helmats, 7 body peices, and 5 shoulders. or maybe the other way around. For all those people complaining about not getting their achievements, the person who is considered to destroy the vehicle\kill the person is EITHER the last one to do damage OR the one who did the most damage. If the chopper gets shot while yopur mine goes off, you wont get the achievement. As well, Headshot Honcho requires 10 headshot IN A ROW, WITHOUT MISSING. If you hit the person's body, or miss them completely, you start again.

TO UNLOCK THE NINJA Armor (Hayabasa). get all skulls and unlock every achievement for all of it

i have been playing trying to get the "security" shoulder pieces and have unlocked a total of 35 achievements and have a gamerscore of 885 and do not have the shoulder piece. i did some research and have found that you have to unlock 75% of the achievements, which is 37 of 49.

also in order to unlock the "scout" shoulder pieces you have to unlock the "mongoose mowdown" achievement.

another way to find detailed info about the armor is to go to "Halopedia" on the internet.

the Hayabusa armor is unlocked by get just the silver skulls. the last one is on the convenant near the end...you got to start from the beginning of the level and play all the way through to the part where truth dies... then kill all the flood and cortana will im a thief but i keep what i steal and then jump throgh the halo rings in this order: 4 6 5 4 5 3 4. halo 7 is next to truth and halo 1 is at the other end. start at the halo with the red...remember 4 6 5 4 5 3 4 the halos will light up the go back to towards truth and there it is. and then Hayabusa is unlocked.

Yo Thumb to get the Hayabusa armor you have to collect ALL the skulls in campaign mode the gold set and silver set doing this will unlock the Hayabusa set including the helmet.

I had 600 GS from Halo 3 when I got the Security shoulders. But then when I found a gold skull, (or in other words I got and achievement and my GS shifted) they "re-locked"

To get hyabusa you need all of the skulls gold and silver

All Right to clear things up: You need 6 skulls for shoulder pieces, 9 skulls for the body piece, and all 13 for the Head Piece

To unlock Haybusa armors and shoulders are different skulls and head is all the skulls so if you get all the skulls you will have Hayabusa Armor, Helmet and Shoulders i have done this and it works.

Also people are saying the acheivement are flawed. These people are idiots. Read the achievements carefully you must do alot of them in "RANKED" aswell as "FFA" so do them in lone wolves. Also if you exit before the achievement pops up (usually about 30 seconds after you have done it) then it will not register.

Also noone mentioned the haybusa sword which is unlocked by getting all achievements.

To get the Recon armor, you have to write a letter to Bungie telling them why you should be awarded the privilege... along with $5. If you are approved... you will receive the elusive armor.

how come the catch skull wont appear when i try 2 get it? ive tried leaving both wraiths alive when i jump up onto the building. ive tried destroying the anti air wraith and leaving the normal wraith when i jump onto the building. but either way, the skull isnt there when i jump on the building its supposed 2 b on. this is the only skull i havent gotten.

Make sure you are playing on Normal difficulty, or higher. Make sure you start the level at the beginning. You can destroy the anti-air wraith, but leave the other one alone. The reason for this, is the other one gives you a checkpoint, and beyond that checkpoint, the skull is irretrievable. But before it, the skull should be there.

Guys the helmet u r all looking for is unlocked when u get the IWHBYD skull. u dont have to beat the entire level to obtain the skull and it has to be the last skull u find. good luck to u all.

The hayabusa armor and skulls can be gotten on normal,heroic or legandary!

I have the Hayabusa armor and you get it by collecting all 13 hidden skulls during the campaign (9 gold skulls and 4 whites). The only catch to it is you must get the IWHBYD skull after you have already gotten the other 12 skulls. for the scout shoulders you have to get 750 gamerscore points but that only includes halo 3 gamersore points, it does not mean all of your GS pionts from other games it has to be 750 from halo 3 and halo 3 only.

hmmm....after you get to the prophet,on the covenant (preferably after everyone else is dead ):D if you jumo through in a specific order (halo theme)you will hear the theme played and then the skull will appear beside the bridge or the entrance(all this needs to be done on normal or higher) hope this helps and im sorry that i dont know the direct combination or anything

I have all the skulls, I think the helm your looking for is rogue... you need to get officer ranks online. Just ask around for someone to point stack with to help you get the "ninja-turtle" helmet. I ran the covenant on legendary and quite easily got the IWHBYD skull. I did the order of jumps (1 at beginning 7 at the prophet) 134-675-465-453-454-534

i think i got to the second to the last set before the rings lit up. I heard no music, no confirmation sounds, all of that is total bullcrap. The skull is sitting in front of the bridge that leads to where truth was. Make sure EVERYTHING (prophet, troops, flood) are dead before trying it. IF you screw up just start right back over, you dont have to die to reset it... Good luck & happy hunting.

you can easily get the "headshot honcho" achievement by going to the ark, killing all of your allies as soon as possible, going to the ledge with the rocks that is near the brutes jackals and grunts and sniping as many of them as you need to get this achievement.

i dunno if its easier, but i got it on The Covenant level, i think from destroying a prowler with passengers, which come out of the door from the first tower to the outside.

i got the head shot honch by using a sniper and shhoting two brutes at the same time in the head. So i beleive you need a double head shot.

ive been looking for how to obtain halo 3 armor and it says you have to beat a ceratin level or what evr on legendary can you do co-op and still earn the armor?

Samuri armor, yea i kno the name but idk how to spell it.
Helm - Get all 13 skulls (Gold and Silver)
Shoulders - Get 9 Skulls
Chest - Get 5 Skulls

To unlock Hayabusa, you must get a certain amount of skulls.

7 skulls for shoulder
9 for body
and all 13 for the head.

I don't know about Scout armor.

And they IWHBYD thing... just to clear the bullshit.

When you get to the part after killing the prophet of truth, you gotta enter this code by jumping through the rings

1 as at the entrance, and 7 is the one at the one.

Once you do that, the rings will light up and play notes. go to the bridge by the prophet and the skull will be there. You must complete the level to unlock it, so don't quit after picking it up.

for the headshot honcho, you need to kill more than just one brute with the sniper headshot. I think it 3 and I think it has to be all completed in the same mission...

so when getting the hyaboosa armor do i jump through the first ring to start out i also need to get another gold skull so i also need all the skull names after this the head shot honcho is killing like 5 brutes in the head i did it on the level the ark at the begining just go up that hill and do all the head shots there. have fun.

U only need the lkast 7 jumps to unlokc * u might have to do after arbiter kills prohit*

unlock the hayabusha armour by collecting the skulls- gold skulls for the shoulders and chest and the silver ones for the samurai mask- press x on campaign menu and you can view what skulls you have and many players are willing to help you in co-op mode
