Guide: The skulls of Halo 3 including the Fog skull on Floodgate

Disclaimer: what have you achieved if all you have done is watched a video or read a tutorial showing you where the skulls are? Go hunt them. Hunting skulls is a ton of fun and they aren't meant to easily be found.
Update: Our very own Trigger has made a video guide to find all of these skulls.
Bungie has hid one golden skull all campaign levels of Halo 3. There are nine gold skulls to be found that each unlock 10-point gamerscore achievements and give you multipliers during the campaign (if you enable them - which makes getting the "meta-game" achievements a lot easier). If you find a skull with friends, everyone in the party will get credit for finding the skull.
All of the skulls are off the beaten path. That's the point. Bungie wants fans to spend a lot of time walking all over their maps hunting these things.
One skull in particular is terribly hard to find. That skull is different than the rest because of where it is and how you get it. It's clever. It's fun. The skull is called "Fog" and it's hidden somewhere on the campaign map Floodgate.

Sierra 117
Iron Skull - If you die, you restart from the beginning of the level.
This skull is located near the of the level after you've fought your way through the jungle battles. Cross the bridge to the far side of this open space. Stay on the right side of the bridge as you cross it and keep jumping up to the level's that are above you. Before long, you'll be on the long ledge that leads you to the far corner to find the Iron skull.

Level: Crow's Nest
Black Eye Skull - When you lose shield, the only way to get it back it to melee an enemy.
The skull requires a couple of precision jumps. It is located at the very beginning of the level above your spawn point. Jump your way up to the pipe that is above you.

Level: Tsavo Highway
Tough Luck Skull - Your enemies never back down, always make their saving throws, and always charge you.
This skull is located about halfway through the level on a ledge that is below the highway. A few technical jumps are required to descend to the area where this skull is.

Level: The Storm
Catch Skull - Enemies throw LOTS of grenades.
A grenade jump is required to find this skull which is found on the first outside battle in this map. It's on the far storage tank. Make sure you get this skull BEFORE you destroy both Wraiths!

Level: The Floodgate
Fog Skull - “You’ll miss those eyes in the back of your head.” You lose your motion sensor.
Since this skull is the most difficult skull to find, I will be releasing the steps to getting this skull in the form of clues down in the comments section of this post until it is fully revealed.
- This skull in a place that you can not access
- This skull is time sensitive
- This skull is viewable with the free cam
- You only have a small window of time to find this skull
- This skull requires a weapon being fired
- This skull must fall down to you
- This skull is moving
- This skull will be picked up on the ground
- You must kill an enemy to get to this skull
- This skull is not located inside
- The name of this level gives you a clue to this skull's discovery
- This skull is being carried
- The skull is near the beginning of the level
- The skull will be both on the roof and street level
- Just kill the dang Flood member holding the skull on the corner of a building roof before he jumps away just after your spawn as you enter the town

Level: The Ark
Famine Skull - Enemies drop 50% of the ammo they usually drop.
This skull is found on top of the bridge-like foundation under which you battle a Wraith and some Ghosts. It's located up high on the last arm of the bridge and required a timed grenade jump to reach. You can get to the bridge by climbing up the wall behind the bridge.

Level: The Covenant
Thunderstorm Skull - All enemies are given a field promotion, and ranked up to their next available level.
This was a very easy skull to find. It's located on the first tower after you get your Hornet.

Level: Cortana
Tilt Skull - Makes enemy resistance much greater. For example, Brute power armor becomes nearly impossible to take out with nearly anything except for plasma bursts.
This was a tough skull to find because it requires technical jumps in the middle of a Flood battle. About halfway into this level is a big open room. Jump on the little shelves until you get to the top of the level and the skulls waiting for you.

Level: Halo
Mythic Skull - All enemies have double their usual health.
This is perhaps the easiest skull to find. After spawning at the beginning of this level, stay to the right. You'll eventually find a narrow and foggy crevasse. The skull is at the end of this crevasse.
You can also find the "white" skulls hidden in the campaign. These skulls do not unlock achivements, however, you they can add neat effects to your campaign experience. For instance, check out the Grunt Birthday Party skull:
Headshot the grunts and their heads will explode with confetti following by audio of little kids cheering.
Silver skulls:
The I Would Have Been Your Daddy (IWHBYD) skull:
Triggering the skull is done in the "Covenant" map with the seven Halo rings. You must jump through the rings in a certain order. Gamers knew something was odd because jumping through the rings produced different notes of sound.
Assuming the first ring in the room is #1 and the last ring in the room is #7, the rings must be jumped through in this order:
4 6 5 4 5 3 4

I achieved about 90 gamer points doing so, and the ability to use the skulls in the campaign meta-game, which is exactly what I wanted. People have fun in different ways. I don't enjoy wandering map geometry for long periods of time. I like to look around, even pretty thoroughly, but checking every nook and cranny for a skull does become tiresome to me. However, I do enjoy playing Halo with friends and earning achievements, so the youtube video on the first 8 skulls was perfect for me. I'll do the same with a guide to the terminals when one surfaces. To each his own.

Could this guide have a bit more added info please? If you only want to list the locations of the skulls then it does it's job but this is one of the better guides I've found on the net and it could still use some more information.
For example the locations of the white skulls would be good, as well as details on spawning of the skulls. I believe 'The Storm' skull is set on a timer once you enter the area, after a few seconds it appears, but it seems to disappear again if you destroy the blue normal wraith that gets dropped in, hence you can't use it to get to top the top of the tower, but a pile of vehicles and a grenade jump got me up there. Also I don't believe skulls will spawn if you start the level from one of the relay points in the middle of the levels, but I could be wrong.

@706: You are right. There's more information that could be added to the article. However, from the feedback I've seen, the guide is good enough to get all of the gold skulls. You are welcome to send me more information on all the skulls and I will add it to the guide.
About skulls appearing and disappearing: yes, some (maybe all) skulls appear at certain times. This time is usually just after you have entered the area in which the skull has appeared. Use a camera to fly ahead to a place where you haven't gone yet? Then the skull may not be there yet. Play through a section and go back later to get the skull? It may not be there any more.

Do white skulls add multipliers to the campaign metagame just as gold skulls do? I've been playing with 4 skulls enabled (fog, catch, famine, grunt birthday party) and am wondering if grunt birthday party is contributing to the multiplier.
Actually the Floodgate(FOG) is easy to get...right as the level starts in the buildings, look on the right roofs..you should see a flood jump over you.. he has the skull. shoot him and it will fall

no Midnight, the white skulls do not add to the multiplier, Bungie posted a FAQ about campaign scoring today. Question though, does anyone know how to unlock all the armor permutations? I have some but all I did was beat the game on Heroic, then find two skulls and get the first level meta game acheivement.

Hi, The skull on The storm is not their for me and my friend, We both see where it is meant to be but it does not appear there when we go there, All the other skulls where fine but just that 1.
It happends to both of us. We clear the area of the wraiths and ghosts and use the wraith to crouch jump onto the storage tank and it is not there. Will upload movie and screenshot if you want if you dont beleive me....

Pete, it disappears when you kill the second wraith. Kill everything but the wraith next to the big mechanical doors then use a warthog or a grenade jump to retrieve the skull.
To get ALL of the samurai pieces, you must get all of the skullz (gold and white)
If you have some pieces, you must have some of the skullz

Oh my god, this one kicked my ass. Grenade jumping? Hard stuff.
I found an easier way. Pick up a deployable cover shield.
*I was able to find one after I went through the tunnel and took care of the three wraiths that prevent the big UNSC airship from landing. I came back through with the tank, and blew up the Covenant airship. In the wreckage was a dead Brute with a deployable cover shield*
So instead of grenade jumping to the ledge, I deployed the cover shield, hopped on top, and then hopped onto the ledge. You'll slide off the shield if you try to stand on it, but if you jump on and then quickly jump off, it works.
The skull in SIERRA NEVER appears in my game. Is my copy of halo defective.....I've beaten that level on every difficulty and the skull never ever ever ever ever ever appears. Can someone explain this to me. My XBL name is Rayned0wn. Someone please help me out here, this is bullshit.
Is there a minimum difficulty level when playing that's required for the skulls to appear?
Can someone detail the grenade jump (trying to get the skull on top of the tank on The Storm level) or post a link to where it explains it a bit better, please? Also, does anyone know when this skull disappears? I can zoom in and see it towards the beginning of the battle, but later (usually right after I detroy the Wraith(?) it's not there anymore). I try to get the Wraith to use as a ladder up to the tank. Does the skull vanish after the Wraith gets dropped off or after it's destoyed?

I had read all the posts, but I thought it was talking about a different mission. It was talking about two Wraiths and I didn't think the AA vehicle was a Wraith. I did get it eventually though, thanks. The Warthog wasn't tall enough for me to get on the tank. I finally got the grenade jump to work, but I'm still not too good with it. Any tips on doing it well would be appreciated.

The warthog, Just on top of the warthog at the highest part of the ground and crouch jump, Jump up and crouch at the end of the jump

It will appear when the Wraith appear and disappear when they are destroyed. You need to find it before you destroy the wraiths.

Go to the theater and watch the replay of the level. Just hit Y to go into free-roam mode, and move the camera wherever you please.

I have to say for all of you sceptics on this page, just keep trying on those skulls. I've got all the skulls and have read this thread top to bottom. The information is acurate, you just have to work at the timing.
1) Always start from the beginning of the level.
2)With the exception of the Storm skull, you have the chance to kill all enemies in the vicinity before getting the skull so I would recommend it as it makes getting there much easier.
3) Can't vouch for the validity of the link stating that only the last half of the Ring order is required for the IWHBYD skull, but I went through the whole sequence and it worked. The skull will be at the top of the ramp leading to the bridge you crossed to kill Truth.
4) I have gotten skulls from Normal, Heroic, and Legendary so they can be reached in each one.
5) Remember that the icon to hold right shoulder button will not show up for a skull, you just have to do it anyway and you'll pick them up.
6) If a skull is not there, don't give up. They are VERY a particular, but they will eventually show their heads. (no pun intended) :)
this proved invaluable. I shall make this into video form with a few tips so people can have another option for completing these. I'll credit THX in it.

i've done storm from the beginning 3 times now on normal, I never kill anything and grenade jump 2 the right spot, the skull is never there. anyone know why?

You can enable them during the campaign for more points in the scoring metagame.
Im trying to get the Grunt Birthday Party Skull, but its not appearing. Do you have to start from the beginning? Ive tried it on normal and heroic but still nothing.

For everyone that is having problems finding the skulls because it doesnt appear. you should always start from the beginning and dont use the alpha or bravo start points and the lowest difficulty setting is normal so things its not hard. also i dont know if you save and quit am not sure if the skull will still be there after you start again. i did this and i find every skull already. so start from the beginning of the level.
Trouble finding skulls: also besides starting from the beginning of the level. if you go to far into the level the skull will disapper so try not to go to far into the level and try and go back for the skull cause it might disapper. For example the catch skull will disappear if you destroy the anti air wraith because of the loading and checkpoint process so you have to get it without destroying the anti air. (at least this how i was able to get most of the skulls if someone knows more post it and also correct me if am wrong.)
alright i SERIOUSLY think theres a bug or something, i've tried everything to get the catch skull but its just not there...i tried it in normal and heroic, i tried killing everything around and not killing anything, i get there really fast but its just not there...its bullshit, i have every other skull but that one for some reason doesnt show up...if you have any clue why this is happenning plz help me out.

pete, don't kill teh anti air? just run down the ghosts, kill the foot soldiers, stand on a warthog or grenade jump, and grab the skull. bada bing, bada boom.
On the level Where you have to kill truth. To get one of the silver skulls you have to jump through the rings in a certain order. If #1 is the ring when you first enter that room and #7 is the ring closest to where you kill truth. You need to jump through the rings the same way each time, which is jumping through them when facing truths platform. It was just confirmed that only the last 7 numbers are needed. Be sure you start the level from the begining not from a Point Alpha or Bravo. This is the order. 4,6,5,4,5,3,4. Then if you have done it right all 7 rings will start to light up brightly. The skull will appear on the bridge where you killed truth. I hope this helps! Happy huntings. if you have any questions regarding any other of the skulls email me. You can just drive a ghost up there too. That way you dont have to back track. You just use speed burst as you hit the top of the rock and you fly right up on to the bridge. I then just jumped on the ghost and then the ledge because it is just barely out of your normal jumping hieght.

I cannot get the IWHDYD skull. I am on normal, started at the beginning, and for some reason the rings won't make any noise and I cannot get the skull to appear. I tried the long sequence and the short (the last 7 rings). Does anyone know why they wouldnt be making noise?

It doesn't make a special melody when you walk through them, it'll just continue playing the same noise it does when you walk up to it. Just jump through the rings in the correct order, and they'll all light up, and you'll get your skull on the light bridge.
cant get the damn catch skull i read the whole thing and tried every said thing in these comment but it just doesnt work, i tried killing everything : nada

Hey nice page verry helpfull, only I think more then one skull is time sensitive. I went to get the skull on the first lvl. After I had already beaten it, I did it on legendary but by the time I got there the skull was not.. I think its cause I was takeing my time with it, anyways I still havnt got it..
ok, for u guys trying to get the IWHBYD skull...
you have to jump (not walk...jump) through the rings in the proper order AFTER you go through the cutscene where the arbiter kills truth.
i dont kno the exact order off hand...but i kno that its not the short 1 that people keep posting here (or atleast it didnt work for me...i tried that and a longer 1 and tha longer 1 worked) and that the sequence that works both start and end with ring 4 (the broken one...aka the one where part of it is red) where the first is closest to the entrence and the 7th is closest to truth. after you jump through the last ring, they will all start to flash and the skull will apear on the spot just before the bridge (u cant miss it if you walk to the bridge) once you pick up the skull...all of the rings will stay lit up. the sequence itself was gotten from a code that someone posted that had the sequence in it...but nobody knew wat it meant till they found that jumping through the ring made the tone...then it was kinda a "duh" moment i guess.
someone had asked how to use the skull. all u gotta do is before you start the campain, press X for campain options, then select which skulls u wanna use.

Do you need to complete the level holding the skull or can you save and quit right away when you pick it up and get the achievement and have it available for campaign use?
I have found all of the gold skulls and all of the silver skulls as well. My only problem is this; when I pick up a silver skull I don't get the pop up saying that I unlocked it. Is this normal or no? This happens on every single silver skull I pick up. I even ran around the entire level with the damn skull in my hand beating the hell out of the enemies until I finished the level. That is when my character drops the skulls and nothing happens.

Finding the silver skulls doesn't unlock actual acheivements but you still need them for the armor.
Agreed. Plus, I find it hard to believe that ANYONE would find all the skulls without some help. For crying out loud, how would you EVER know to shoot that Flood combat form jumping across the buildings to get that one??
I read you can't kill the wraiths til you get the skull after I finally was able to pile up a stack of Ghosts and Warthogs on top each other to jump up to the top from the front edge which was the lowest point on the structure. Damn wasted time LOL. so I reverted to my last save and tried agian and the damn wraith blew the damned warthog to bits as I attempted to stack them on the back side of the structure (to avoid the wraiths attacks) so I tried with just gosts until It was apparent it was utterly hopless. one more revert... damn I needed the warthog. Third times a charm or was it 12th LOL I stacked a ghost under the warthog drove another ghost in front to act as a ramp for the next two ghosts to ramp up onto the warthog a very tough balancing act maneuver that takes patience since the ghosts tend to roll over easilly LOL then finally was able to reach the skull garb it grab a ghost and blow those damned wraiths to kingdom come exacting my revenge for taking out the warthog I needed the frst time LOL... Consequently I also tried to see if I could jack the second wraith so I could use it as a stepping stone but I must have kept trying to board it wrong as it kept giving me a prompt to "stick a grenade to the wraith"

PS: this was to reach the Skull in the middle of the building on the Storm level that has the two wraiths...
And you have to make sure you are doing it on Heroic or legendary....
PPS: why would you play anything but legendary anyway... LOL
except of course for Mythic! But you need the Mythic skull to do that first :) Remember kids after legendary comes Mythic... It's nice to be a legend but to hear whispers of you as a myth now that is something...

Hey I don't know if anyone has noticed this or if y'all just haven't said it out loud. If you go to the select mission screen for campaign mode it displays a small picture of part of that level. These are pictures of where the skulls are! Of course they don't show you exactly where the skulls are but they give you a very good idea of where to look. So if you feel like finding them yourself and don't want to spend 5 hours searching through an entire level, just check those out. I think Cortana and The Storm may be a bit off but I'm not sure yet. Still checking...

i just thought id mention the gold skull on ark does not require a gernade jump only a deployable cover u can jump up on to the area easier that way
Yeah, I was messed up trying the 4 6 5 4 5 3 4 only part of the code. I did this 6 times and nothing. Frustrated, I then tried the 1 3 4 6 7 5 4 6 5 4 5 3 4 -- and it worked the very first time. And I don't hear any tones when jumping through -- I do hear tones just getting near each ring, though. And when you complete the sequence and start walking back, you can actually hear them being played in time and in the order that you just went through -- the Halo theme.
I want to know how someone figured that out, and you can't tell me that wasn't a leak. Even with the hints given, I find it hard to believe someone was musically gifted enough to figure out the sequence of the tones...I mean I didn't even realize they were emitting tones - I thought it was just background audio for the level. I suppose its possible someone actually recorded the tone for each ring, then programmed it on a keyboard and started playing by ear until it started to sound like the Halo theme, but still...
Oh, and yeah, I noticed that too that the snapshots of the levels are pretty close to where skulls are, sorta kinda, mostly, in a way, for the most part...
Actually you can start from relay points, because for the iron skull, i spawned at the end of the level for the third time and found it.

I'm playing co-op on heroic to get tha skulls starting from the begining of the stages when i complete the stage it says i didnt collect the skulls and i didnt get achievment points. then i beat the game on heroic single campaign and didnt get achievments either can anyone answer y thanks.
you have to keep the wraiths alive and use a grenade jump to get the skull
What do I do if I miss the skull the first time I go through the level
Restart the level.
You get the samuria healmet by getting all skulls and the katana body by getting all achievment points and skulls
Regarding the "catch" skull...I ride the warthog in and make a stop at the middle section...grab the Brute Shot and the Missle Pod...take out the Ghosts and the Anti Air wraith with pod...LEAVE THE BLUE WRAITH ALONE!! I used the Brute Shot to get to the skull. Brute Shot jumping is much easier than grenade jumping and will only take your shields down to half.

one thing you might put in a side note that on famine you can jump on to it it you angle a tank right i suck at grenade jumps so i piled up some vehichles and drove a tank upmuch easier for those who suck a grenade jumps takes about 4 to ten minutes for a nube like me
Alright guys regarding the Catch skull... You have to beat the game on Legendary mode for it to appear. And when you do I find it easy to kill everything BUT The anti Air wraith. THEN!!!!!! Killing all the ground troup and taking the mounted rocket and rocket jumping up with that.

Why doesn't the cowbell skull appear in the ark? We are playing the campain on legendary coop with my friend and we can't find it from where it should be.
To get the IWHBYD skull: follow the sequence(?) AFTER AFTER AFTER AFTER(!) the cutscene with Truth. BUT before you jump
through the rings, kill ALL OF THE FLOOD! The music will stop( the really tense stuff)then jump through the rings.

Ok... i just cant seem to get the catch skull... i think i hav a defective copy of halo 3, but i heard if u go back and beat the whole game on normal, then go back and try to get the skull, that you will be able to get it. I am going to try that, so hopefully it will work. I also hav another thing to try where i heard that u hav to kill the brute leader in the boathouse in order to trigger the skull to appear. So if my first thing doesnt work, i will try that. The last thing im gonna try , is to make a new profile, and try to get the skull by playin the storm on normal the first time thru the level. If that doesnt work, im gonna sit on the floor and cry. I hope this will work =).

Heh, nevermind...I changed the difficulty to Legendary, and there it was....I just selected the level, and it was on Easy, not knowing it...But cool.
Has anyone else found the Blind skull? If not it's found at "Sierra 117" and is out on a rock ledge close to one of your first encounters with Brutes. It's on the right. Press 'RB' to pick it up, if you want to finish the level..Good luck...If you want to Leave then and KEEP the skull just pause the game and leave. You will keep it and woo.

GOD! That was freaking hard, took me at least 3 hours to get the Catch Skull..That was the most frustrating thing I've had to deal with for a while...I stacked 3 Ghosts Behind the Tank so the Wraith couldn't shoot me...And Then The Warthog that you find flipped over by rocks on top of the Ghosts...And FINALLY got up there picked it up...Then quit, and now I have that skull!
(By the way, do NOT shoot the Wraith that is by the door, the one on the field? You can destroy no harm done to the skull.)

When your at the campaign lobby, press X, then it shows u how many skulls you have gotten and then u can activate them by just by going to the skull, then switch it to on and when you play the next campaign level the effect will be activated.

When collecting the catch skull, i simply finished off ecerything apart from the blue wraith. set up my warthog at the highest point of the building/silo on the side nearest to the blue wraith, grenade jumped with a normal frag as i found plasma grenades dont work as well and i made it. me myself am not very good at grenade jumping but by throwing the grenade into the warthog it helped a lot. it took my a long time but i kept at it.

in my halo version the cowbell skull isnt there i tried it with 4 people with 3 with 2 and my self i also did it on every dificulty and its never there pls somebody help its the only one i need
jus thought i'd put this out there as well, if u do these skulls on campaign in co-op, makes it alot easyer BUT u need to make sure the other person dosen't already hav the skull or u will jus end up gettin real made trying to figure out why the skull didn't appear for u, its cause they already had it so the lvl didn't make it appear. Also the "Ninja" armor is unlocked like this.
5 Skulls - Gets u the Chest Plate
9 Skulls - Gets u the shoulder pads/parts
All Skulls - Gets u the helmet

Ok, the first question answered itself, but I'm still having Catch Skull issues. I can't seem to bypass the first checkpoint, by the door on the way out. Also, me and my friend attempted to get the Famine Skull, and we tried the fuel rod way, with not the results we expected. Help? Anyone? PLEASE?

You got the samurai armor from collecting skulls.
Body = 5 skulls
Shoulders = 9 skulls
Helmet = all 13 skulls

Ok, the catch skull is on the level where you have to blow up the big anti-air wraith. DONT BLOW IT UP!!! You have to get it beforehand, if not the skull will disappear. This is how i did it. Jump down the big ramp after you enter the room. There should be a warthog thats flipped upside down. Flip it over and drive it over to the building in the middle of the room by the anti-air. Try and drive it up the side of the wall as best as you can but have the ocean to your backside so the regular wraith cant blow you up. Now jump onto the warthog and then grenade jump to the top of the building. It may take a few times but its fairly easy. It took me twice. Good luck.
As for the famine skull. Seeing how you know where it is...go down like 3 overhangs down (the thing the skull is on) and climb up those rocks. Then jump onto the platform where you have to take a left to head towards the skull. Now go to where the skull is. TRY AND HAVE A FEW GRENADES ON HAND!!! Now stand a bit back from the overhang and throw a grenade into the crack at the bottom of the ramp thing and the thing you have to jump onto. Then time the jump so the grenade will push you into the air. Hopefully you will land on that overhang thing. Will probably take a few times til you kind of get it figured out. But its not that hard of a task once you get it down.
ALL THE SKULLS ARE EASY TO GET GOT THEM IN ABOUT 3 DAYS. EASIER TO GET THEM ON CO-OP MODE WITH ABOUT 3 PEOPLE.

Well, after a little while, I got the hang of grenade jumping, but the Catch Skull isn't one the top of that construct! If the "checkpoint by the door" is the one you need to go through to get outside, I keep getting it! Help?

jus thought i'd put this out there as well, since i'm horrible at gernade jumping and murder my self 85% of the time, i figured i will tell u guys this, the FAMINE skull can b obtained with out gernade jumping, u hav to play in co-op and stand right next to the wall part (with skull on it) and then u hav some1 jump on top of u and jump up there, easy way to do it and no gernades, jus thought i'd put that out there
Would it kill you to capitalize? Yes, we probably all heard of this method before. It's an almost clone to the deployable cover method.

hey i was on the first skull clue that was talked about and me and my little bro searched like hours to find that dumb skull. We went on the bridge thing like it said on sierra 117 and me and my lil bro were looking for hours on co-op, Do you have to do it on co-op or solo? And on the ark we couldn't find it but we didn't look that hard. We got 4 skulls already. We looked for the one on the covenant and we still couldn't find it. Any tips?

i loved the plot as well but the ending left me an cliff hanger (is talking about the legendary ending) it left me hanging when master chief went in the pod and said wake me up when you need me. and his ship crashed into an unknown planet. (that was a spoiler if you haven't seen that ending sorry for giving you the spoiler)

for cowbell skull on the ark it is alot easier to play co-op and get 2 grav lifts and plant one on top of the other, there for boosting you higher and closer to the skull
The same thing is happening to me. And now both levels " the Storm and "Cortana" wont even load. They just go up to 20% and go back to zero. And when they did load the skull on the storm was never there. :( making me mad cuz those are the only two skulls i need fo hayabusa armor

You should also add the '14th' or 'unknown' skull, as it is called. I know i'ts a duplicate blind skull and all that but it does something else: If you pick it up and carry it to the end of the level (not find it and drop it, not leave it in the last room, actually carry it IN YOUR HANDS onto the pelican at the end of the level) *I DARE a n00b to say that wasn't clear*, at the start of the next level you will start with a Sp'laser and whatever weapon you had in your hand with you when you jumped onto the pelican. Just dont take into the battle in the control room, it wont hurt the boss (REALLY trying not to spoil it for anyone not there yet), you still need johnsons Sp'laser, and the skull one will disappear in the cutscene. Johnsons Sp'laser is actually coded into the game to hurt the boss and noone else. Anyway, probally a good thing to add to the guide. Later.

Its not a flaming "head" its acually the "body":its EOD with fire on top of the body.
If You look in the flaming Head Pictures they ALL have EOD armor...
And for the guy who didn't know "Y" was how to get out of film and look around without following your person... HES A NOOB!!!

ok I know im gnna sound noobish but excatly what to the IWHBYD skull do and the cowbell i know that the grunt birhtday you shoot a grunt and its head explodes and lttle kids cheer but and blind skull takes ur hud away so wtf does the other two do

ok then th IWHBYD changes the dialogue and the cowbell = BIGGER BOOM
u get samurai by getting all the skulls. the first few u get give u chest, 9 get u shoulders, and all of em gets ya the helmet.
back a warthog up to the second building on the higher part of the ground. (you don't have to kill evrything first.) jump on top of the warthog, then jump from the warthog to the top of the building. it should be setting the middle.

I've gotten just about all of the skulls with no problems at all. But when I pick up the blind skull on sierra 117 it doesn't acknowldge that I achieved anything. I even took it all the way to the end of the level and nothing happened, whats going on!
hi you have to go right up to the tower and through a grenade at the ground the use the explosion to boost you up or it wont appear !!!

It works better with a sticky. Your suppose to throw the nade infront of u and jump over it and the sonic boom of the nade will send u flying in to the air
You need to press the Right Bumper of youre controller (RB) to pick it up, then just wait for 3 seconds then pull the right trigger (RT) to drop it, you DONT have to carry the skull with you through the whole level, just holding it for 3 seconds is enough

sometimes those Marines killed the AA-Wraith, Blue one at the door is still alive, and every time when I get on top of that tank, there's no skull :S
I did this like 30 times, (yeah im serieus) and every time, there is no skull :S

ok, i did that, i killed all of the ghostes, everything, exept the AA wraith and the normall wraith, i used a gerande jump on a worthog and got the top, and it isnt there, any ideas?
you gotta kill the anti air wraith, not the purple one then get a warthog jump on the turret or use a grenade jump onto the top of the silo and the skull is there, i know ive helped people and got all thriteen, good rank on live aswell, resubscribing shortly, my account name is slashingalex
You can just pick up the skull and save and quit level and there ya go
chikens are mean and i can't find any of the skulls nomatter how hard i try
on cortana why can i get the achivement for the skull or get the skull. i picked it up on seven different occaisens. i even played the lever from the start. Whats wrong?
i think the catch skull is were the first anti-air wraith is. It is on top of the building in the middle of the area.DO NOT DESTROY THE WRAITH!!!
