The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.
One of the guys I talk to regularly on another forum works at a Gamestop and they've been opening boxes to prepare for Monday. One of the things they've found, is that the collectors edition boxes, are actually having the discs come loose inside and fly around and get scratched up. So, if you have bought one of these, when you get your box, *gently* shake it and listen for the disc moving. If it is, get a new one, your disc is possibly scratched and useless. I'll get the pics eventually, once I remember how to do it again.

I just bought the collector's edition 30 minutes ago at Walmart for $70 . I questioned whether the case was supposed to 'rattle' like that and we pulled a second case and it 'rattled' the same way, so I said I guess so. I just opened the case and both CDs were off the nub and have significant scratches. I searched on Halo 3 packaging and have found multiple results for this issue. I'm not at home to try them out, but I will probably return and just get the regular edition.
This is going to be a huge problem for M$ over the next few days.
