Be undead

The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.

Alert! Ending for Halo 3 has been leaked. Videos, articles surface.

Submitted by rapture on Mon, 09/17/2007 - 5:22pm.

Fair warning. The ending to Halo 3 has been leaked to the internet. Within a few button presses and clicks of the mouse, you can be watching the end to the trilogy. I for one can say that I was surprised that Master Chief was killed by Cortana and that she is going to have his love child. You?

What?

That's an example of how easy it will be to have Halo 3 spoiled for you if you surf the internet any time between now and you finishing the campaign. Expect the ending of Halo 3 to also be written on any kind of community driven website (Facebook, MySpace, DIGG, internet forums, blogs, etc.). So beware. The ending of Halo 3 is online. You can't stop it. You can only hope to contain it.

Note #1: Try to have the Halo 3 campaign completed by our massive Halo 3 LAN on October 6th. It is going to be terribly hard to contain ourselves. I'll let Midnight address this later. Will talking about the H3 ending be banned? I doubt it, although the community will in large decide this one. But recall, one reason to have the LAN on October 6th was so that everyone could work through the campaign. Finish the fight people!

Note #2: You can only discuss spoiler information on this website if:

1) You place a warning at the beginning of your message and replies.
2) Your post is dated after Sept 25th.

Protect your friends. Protect yourself.

BELIEVE.
A hero is more than a person, a hero is a Belief. A Belief that, against impossible odds, the world can be saved—and that the world is still worth saving. Heroes inspire that Belief in us. They renew our faith and give us that most

Do you have to be a member

Do you have to be a member to post on the site? If not we might want to think about implementing that to maybe deter some random post from a spoilerific troll. Other than that I may from today until I beat H3 campaign stay away from any random site and or forums.

I will be talking about the

I will be talking about the H3 campaign with anyone interested at the LAN at my house on October 6th. Everyone else is free to do as they wish.

Part of me wants to satisfy

Part of me wants to satisfy my curiosity and find out the ending, but I think I shall resist the temptation and wait to experience it first hand. I am really looking forward to a stellar ending.

I'm sure I will beat the game by the time we have our LAN. I think I shall play through the first time on medium or heroic difficulty to ensure that I beat it in a timely manner. Then I can play Legendary at the LAN. But I don't know, I may just play through legendary from the start.

I’m willing to settle with

I'm willing to settle with a "Snape killed Dumbledore" situation. That means, I'll be upset if I hear "Oh, this happens at the end of Halo 3," but I'll still enjoy it when I actually see it (like I heard about Snape killing Dumbledore, but I still enjoyed that part of the book).

THAT said, I don't want to hear about it either way.

WARNING: Don’t instant

WARNING: Don't instant message EA aka Rapture as he is likely to just tell you the ending. Thanks for ruining H3 for me. That is all.

Aww poor jaywhy! If I

Aww poor jaywhy! If I happen to see it, oh well, I'll be kinda miffed, but I won't stop watching. That being said, I'm not going to search it out either.

Let it be publicly known

Let it be publicly known that I do not know and I do not wish to know until I find out from my copy of Halo 3.

I do not want to know the ending either. If someone ruins it for me I will... be very angry and may proceed in an aggressive and/or violent manner on the culprit's person.

Damn, forgot my password! I

Damn, forgot my password! I wrote it down here somewhere. It's Whozzit by the way. Anyways... I don't care if I here the ending or not before I get the game, I'll find out either way.

P.S. Snape gets killed by a snake, Harry gets killed by Voldemort, Harry meets dead Dumbledore, Dumbledore explains Harry had to die to kill Voldemort, Harry comes back and kills Voldemort, and he and Ron's little sister get married and have three kids ninteen years later.Oh ya, and whinny little Draco lives...damn.

Several retailers around the

Several retailers around the world have broken the street date. Microsoft has threatened to ban players that play the game before the street date. That would have been an outrageous move - banning people that play the game before it's released even though it was the fault of the retailer that sold the game.

However, it appears that MS is only going to ban MS employees that play before the street date. Lucky gamers who have gotten early copies of the game should be able to game knowing that their XBOX Live gamertag and/or console won't be banned.

Still, this means that more and more people are going to start playing the game. The ending to H3 is going to be out there.

Play it safe.
