If you look at any HALO 3 online marketing, you have got to see halo3.com/believe. This website contains an interactive flash movie that allows you to fly through the battle memorial seen in the commercial "Believe". You can even take screenshots as you pace through the battle. Also, you can get personal interviews with the characters in the video.
Sample screenshots:

If you scroll pretty far through it you can come to the shot of master chief being held by a brute holding a nade...it says something along the lines of this is the part of the battle when master chief lets himself be captured...Kind of sounds like chronicles of narnia to me...
Sounds Freaking awesome to me.

BELIEVE.
A hero is more than a person, a hero is a Belief. A Belief that, against impossible odds, the world can be saved—and that the world is still worth saving. Heroes inspire that Belief in us. They renew our faith and give us that most precious.

I've seen marketing campaigns that are amazing, I've seen marketing campaigns that are meh, this one blows them *all* away. The crazy part, is that it's not even done yet. I think I speak for Halo fans everywhere when I say I want that diorama. Very very rarely have I been moved to tears by anything in an advertisement. Hell, I'm rarely moved to tears by most things. This does. Needless to say, I seriously can't wait. I don't care if I have to sell one of my Halo edition Xboxen, it's worth it.

Wow. The "Making of" featurette in the diorama link made my eyes water a bit. That is really, really amazing. The emotions these videos stir inside me are emotions I never thought could be brought out by any video game, much less an ad for one.
Currently Playing: CoD4 Beta, Bioshock
I teared up a little. The emotion, the loss, the sheer despiration of it all astounded me. At one point, I even had to turn off the sound, it disturbed me so much. The reality of this rivals that of a WWII memorial, I felt like this battle really happened. Now this we could make a movie out of.
Three of the videos aren't available yet, but one of them is titled "Gravesite". Who's gravesite? The gravesite of those who fought and died in the battle, of John, or both. Our greatest fear may yet be realized. Our greatest hero, in fact, a martyr...
heroes are are myths like in flags of our fathers think of that guy being called a hero and he thought the heroes were the men who lost there lives for a belief
