If you're sticking with it, remove the border in the .profile picture CSS entry, a lot of the avatars look better without it.

I don't want to complain, but that's all I seem to do here: I liked the white text against the black background before. Reading black text on a white background is like staring at a light bulb, and I liked that The Hushed Casket was a cool, relaxing dark on my eyes.

I like the yellowish links on the right, the light gray at the top look good, but I just don't like the bright red all over the pages.

Actually you can. The .css files on people's computers are being cached. If you hit SHIFT-RELOAD you should be good to go and see minor changes to the layout and colors as they happen.

I set a red vertical bar on the left of the last 5 comment boxes on this page...do you? What about chaning the frame around the profile pics to the same color as the goldish link color?

Red bars next to comments = new comments. I want it to be easy for our members to tell which comments are new. The Red vertical bar should help with this.

It's looking ALOT better. If only IE7 would load the image at the top faster. FF has no trouble with it and unlike IE it doesn't reload the image for every page.

So if you are in a forum thread, the thread name and your comment links are supposed to be blacked out on the right column, right?

@Reverend: Try a CTRL+REFRESH in IE and let me know if it works better. I think it might. Do you see the scanlines on top of the H3 screenshot?

@JDOGG: The black links are an accident. But, I got to thinking. Those links lead you to the page you are currently on. Why would you want to click a link to take you to the page you are currently on. I'm going to leave it as-is until there's more requests to change it.

@everyone: Thanks for the feedback. I'm reading your posts and going right to the code and programming your requests and making them live.

Makes sense to me, was just making sure you noticed it. And if for some reason people want to click them they still can.

I was wondering if you could do away with the "recent comments" block all-together. There's no way to see which comments you've read/not read. On the previous site, there would be red lines that would disappear, indicating they've been read.

Instead, how about a "Recent Topics" block (or similar) where you click the link, and it takes you to the first unread comment in that thread?

Much better now and the lines are still there. Faster than the old site too.

When trying to navigate to the forums via the column on the left-hand side, I can get as far as http://hushedcasket.com/forums, but when trying to select a particular one, i.e. "Gaming" or "Foulbreed Hill", I get the msg: "Access Denied", (and also "Pimped by EA and Oculus"! haha).

I can, however, navigate to certain forum topics by the "Recent Comments" list, using those links.

I am logged in. I also did a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) just to be sure-- same result. I haven't tried it while logged out yet. Will let you know if it's any different.

Forums: can you guys enter and post now?

There are already plans for this. It requires a bit of effort though, but that's my first priority this weekend. The recent comments will be much different soon.

I got rid of subject lines in the comments.

Since 99% of the people view expanded comments, subject lines don't have much utility. They are also a minor main when QUOTING someone.
