The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.

I’m a little disappointed
I'm a little disappointed that the the other characters in four player co-op are not Spartans. I was hoping this game would tie in to Ghosts of Onyx, or something to that effect. Its not a huge deal with me, but I was hoping to have other Spartans fighting along side MC. Maybe that will still happen though.

The gameplay won't be different, and that's all that matters to me. At least the Elites are nameless dolts.

Indeed, and that lessens my disappointment somewhat. At least there won't be two MCs and two Arbitors... that would be weird.
Well, you can’t expect
Well, you can't expect every bleeding second of the game to adhere to Halo canon. e.g. The scene with Sarge and the Elite at the end of Halo 1 legendary. That's not canon, but I'm sure glad they put it in.
I wouldn't have a problem if all four of us played as Spartans, or even everyone played as John 117. You have to make some sacrifices somewhere.

Frankly, I would rather they all be MC than have multiple Arbitors in there... just personal preference.
Yeah, I love that scene at the end of H1 too. First time I saw that cracked me up.
