Need people for a Shadowrun LAN

What do I need to bring?

If I had the game I'd play, but I don't. In other news, you're going to chicago? Look me up, I'll be staying with steele for the event :).

I'd have to put a few hours into Shadowrun in the next week or so. I haven't been playing very much lately due to frustration with long wait times. Considering they've fixed this and I get to practice up a bit, I'll be there. Otherwise, good luck.

By the way, we are currently the #1 seed at MLG. However, our 4th player was removed from the team and we are playing with a new 4th. We are definitely a Top 5 team. I suspect that we'll be fighting for the top spot in very close matches with a couple of other teams. Because of the way Shadowrun is designed, it will be hard for one team to dominate.

Actually, roo0 did start out on our team, but he had different philosophies about gameplay and he had to be cut. This was before we got serious about MLG. The person we recently cut was not roo0.

Haha no way, Roo0 had different philosophies about gameplay? I would have never guessed! :) Who's your team right now? I don't follow MLG as closely as I used to, not since...that.

Do y'all not like Roo0? I personally liked the guy, the little that I have played with him. Mostly on Halo PC. Seemed like a pretty nice guy.

I like him. We've LAN'd a couple of times. I trained him in Quake IV. Of course we played a ton of HALO PC together.

But in Shadowrun, he plays Human and uses his first round cash ($2500) to buy a Sniper Rifle ($2500). If he dies, that's $2500 of money down the drain. Since he doesn't buy Tree first round, he's not going to heal unless he finds another Tree which someone else will have to buy (for $2000). He also doesn't buy Rez until later in the game, which causes a lot of problems.

His build doesn't help the team. It taxes everyone on the team.

Additionally, he plays with kb/m which isn't allowed in or at MLG.

That said, he's a really good shot with the Sniper Rifle and Pistol.

I don't really have anything against him. I just like needling him whenever I get the chance :).

On Tuesday, Gnome and Goku will come to my house. We are going to play SR on LAN.

We are in the final 4 for MLG Online. If we win on Monday, we will play the championship from my house on Wednesday.

Does anyone have an XBOX 360 VGA cable that I can borrow for a few days? Does anyone want to come over and play? Anyone want to come over and watch on Wed if we are in the finals?

I wouldn't be much use as an opponent at the LAN. I would be interested in watching, but when others watch me play it make me self-conscious and I play worse (I always mess up on GH II when Christina stops and watches for a moment). If you want some pics taken and it really doesn't bother you then I'll come over, but I know I wouldn't want anyone watching me.

If you don't get any takers on the VGA cable we replace my VGA with my component cables until Thursday.

I'd like to come over. Still want me to bring my TV? I do not have an Xbox360 VGA cable.

Gnome and Goku will be here tonight. We will probably be scrimming tonight.
