The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.
Here is a forum post from CAG about BioShock. It has scans from OXM UK and PC Gamer. OXM gave it a 10/10 RAD!

To put this in perspective
To put this in perspective Halo got 9.5/10 and Halo 2 got 9.7/10.
PC Gamer gave it a 95%! Man, I'm very, very excited about this game now.
Gnarly
Yea I really want to play it now. There was also news that there might be a demo released on marketplace, before the game comes out.

I am amazed at the hype this game is getting and has gotten for so long. I just don't get it. Regardless of how good the campaign ends up being, this game has been groomed for success since it was revealed.
Since this game has no multiplayer, I'll get the PC version and rock away without knowing I'm missing out on any THX gaming (like there's any of that going on now anyway...).
It's going to be a big PC gaming holiday season for me with these FPS games:
Bioshock
Unreal Tournament 3
Crysis (already pre-ordered)
Gears of War
Quake Wars
Reviews
I continue to ignore review numbers. If you want to know how popular a game might become, review numbers are great. But if you want to know how great a game is, they aren't a very good indication.
I guess it's because I enjoy some games regardless of low reviews, while some games that had fantastic reviews are still sitting in my drawer.
They're good for hype though. Get you pumped before the game's released. That's half the fun I suppose.
Win!

Bioshock Launch Party in Boston
Sounds like a cool event.....
While there was a considerable lack of Big Daddies at the BioShock launch party -- they were all at The Eagle down the street -- events at Irrational 2K Boston's festivities held at Felt in downtown Boston went down smoothly with shots of "Adam." With syringes on platters, "Little Sister" waitresses went around squirting the "Adam" fluid into revelers mouths -- the alcohol-based substance tasted considerably like Apple-tinis. And no, in reality, it wasn't even close to as scandalous as the Rumble Roses XX injection scenes.
Speaking with the people at the party, it becomes obvious Boston is starting to see a little re-emergence as a video game development town, which is what Boston Mayor Menino seems to want for the city -- despite the company he keeps. This year Boston area game developers will have produced major titles like Lord of the Rings Online, Rock Band, SimCity Societies and BioShock.
Did we spend any time with BioShock designer Ken Levine? No. We did spend some time with the guy who came up with the idea of the Big Daddies and he said that he always found diving suits scary. We also had to ask him the ultimate motivation-irking BioShock question, "What would possess a man to take a syringe, with no explanation of what's inside it, and jam it into his forearm?"
His response: "We get that one a lot. We probably should have had Atlas say something to make it more fluid. But it'll all make sense by the end of the game." Of course, BioShock is out now if you're looking to learn the secrets of Rapture.
To address a concern that FB
To address a concern that FB relayed to me from the gamespot review, which I haven't read yet: Yes, you can unlock all your plasmid/gene tonic tracks without harvesting any little sisters. I've been rescuing them all so far.
How much adam do you get for harvesting?
180
180
180?!? triple shit.
180?!? triple shit. Rescuing give you 80...but it has its perks ;)
I now have a rootkit
I now have a rootkit installed on my PC thanks to the Bioshock demo.
Eff.
I’ve saved two little
I've saved two little sisters and harvested one. I'm not seeing any benefits yet...
This lady better hook me up with some sweet Best Buy gift cards...
You should have rescued the
You should have rescued the third little sister. If looked at purely from the standpoint of adam gathering, you should either rescue all of them or harvest all of them. I've seen the ending for rescuing all of them. Soon I'm going to play it on hard and harvest.
Holy -blam- this lady gave
Holy -blam- this lady gave me some sweet hookupz! I'm going to continue saving little sisters. I sleep better this way.
If you’ve only harvested
If you've only harvested one it would be a shame to miss the achievement for rescuing them all. I played through on medium rescuing so I could harvest on hard and get more adam quickly. You might want to think about reloading the first harvest, if the achievement is important to you.
Nah, it was too long ago,
Nah, it was too long ago, and I don't think the achievement is worth the effort. I plan on playing this game a couple more times, so I'll probably do it then.
Well I beat the game last
Well I beat the game last night and I have to say I was very immpressed all throughout the game. I really liked the melting ice effect, anytime I saw ice I couldn't help but shoot it with some fire..
Jeff how the crap did you get all the tonics without harvesting all the little sisters? and do you know if that includes all the immproved versions of the tonics?
It includes all 53 tonics,
It includes all 53 tonics, including improved versions (eg hacking expert, hacking expert 2, hacking expert 3). You can find many of the tonics in Rapture and don't need to buy them. I can't access it now, but you can find tonic location guides to help you, specifically on the 2k Games Bioshock forum.
I loaded a save about 90% through the game when I had a lot of adam right before facing the final boss. I printed the gene tonic list and went to a gene bank machine. There I viewed all my tonics and crossed off the ones I had. That showed me what tonics I lacked. Some can only be purchased. I purchased those first at a gatherer's garden. Then I had to visit two previous levels to grab a tonic I missed. It actually didn't take very long. I picked up about 45/53 just by exploring rapture and normal purchasing.
I'm really enjoying this
I'm really enjoying this game! I finally got my used PC version of the game working, after the online registration issue w/ SecuROM. The graphics are amazing. And the gameplay is submersive (no pun intended). It has definitely come at a good time to give me a break from H3.
