Halo: Arms Race Video

So, do you guys think this was just as far as they got with the movie production, so they turned it into a short film? Or do you think they are actually still working on a movie and this is some of the first footage of WETA stuff?
Obviously, WETA was working on the movie and I am sure that those guns and whatnot were or are meant for the movie. What do y'all think? You think that perhaps they will make an announcement soon concerning the movie?
Just a bunch of thoughts for discussion.
I think they started out trying to make a movie that is better than Ocean's 13. They unlocked that achievement in the first day of production.
I think they are now trying to figure out a way to make a movie that's better than Transformers. This is why it is taking so long.
The emails we got said that the Arms Race video was a teaser for a short series that will go throughout the summer, culminating with the release of Halo 3. I think they did the best with they had (meaning, they couldn't work out movie plans, so they used Neil and Jackson to make a short series).
I still wonder what Peter Jackson's fledgling game developing studio Wingnut Studios is working on... It's Halo-related, but that's all we know.
I don't know what it is, but I like it. I think I like the Arms Race video better than the actual H3 trailer from E3.
I think a short series is better. It would be very hard to come up with a plot for the movie that hasn't been told in the games, books, or comics.
Btw. The marines looked sort of like the ones off of "spacetroopers" or " Supertroopers" or whatever that movie was called. The one with all the giant bugs.
...Starship Troopers.
Apparently Peter's let slip that it's supposed to be some kind of "interactive movie". As for what that means...
Yeah, that's the one.
btw. The Ender's Game movie is supposed to be in the works. Anyone ever read that? I thought it was pretty interesting/disturbing.
Yeah, please don't ever confuse Super Troopers and Starship Troopers, both good movies in their own rights, but to compare the two is a travesty. They're making an Ender's Game movie? How very interesting. I might actually have to go to a theater for that one.

I've only heard rumors. But if they are it'll come out some time between 2009 or 10. I loved that book, but it creeped the heck out of me.
For those who haven't read it, it includes an eight year old boy with the psyche of a fifty year old, who kills like three different people, and leads the world's largest space fleet on a xenocidal crusade without even knowing it. It's sort of like a futuristic, American version of Harry Potter, only written by Stephan King.
BTW. It's not really written by Stephan King. Just in his style.
