Watching Microsoft's E3 presentation LIVE on G4TV

I'm typing this as I'm watching Microsoft's E3 presentation.

The high school kids playing the HALO music was cool.

Peter Moore says this will be the biggest holiday season of all time for them. All games shown tonight launch this year.

Adults playing Rock Band didn't blow me away. Was kind of cool. Was kind of lame.

XBOX 360 sales figures are impressive. The Wii is (barely) out selling the XBOX 360 right now. However,

XBOX 360 has sold more games since the launch of Wii and PS3 than SONY and Nintendo combined.

XBOX 360 makes up 50% of all new games bought.

$2.4 billion has been spent on XBOX 360 games. Wii $1.3b. PS3 $1.1b.

More money will be spent on video games than music this year.

XBOX Live has 7 million subscribers. Predicting 10 million this time next year.

New Arcade games looking cool. A few flight sims. Some puzzle games like Hexic 2 and Tetris something or another.

Announcing Madden 08 is due out soon. Reggie Bush comes out.

Hrm. The second play of the game and he (his character) breaks a 70-yard run for a TD. I think it was staged.

PGR4 looks a lot better. I don't think I like racing games, though. If I bought a racing game, it would be PGR4.

Gears of War coming to Windows this holiday season with new content, an editor, and surprise content.

Oh crap. He just said Games for Windows - Live. This game could blow.

GoW will have 5 new SP chapters, new features, new MP gametypes, new MP maps, and new MP achievements.

SEGA, Eidos, and THQ are going to support GfW-Live. Well, I guess that's a good start. Too bad GfW-Live launched with only two titles (both developed in house). We haven't hear any GfW-Live news lately. What's the deal?

Epic's Unreal Engine 3 will have GfW-Live support embedded. Interesting.

CoD4 introduced. Wow. The dev's didn't mention CoD3. They said CoD4 was based on CoD2. No reference to CoD3 (which I thought was barely worth buying for the SP only). They must want to sell some games.

CoD4 is set in modern times. Looks a little like Ghost Recon.

Splinter Cell: Conviction announced and exclusive to 360.

Grand Theft Auto IV exclusive to 360. All footage presented was real-time from the engine. Looks kind of like Crackdown without the fantasy/sci-fi features. GTA4 hits in October.

Peter Moore talks about some support for game publishers in Japan.

Resident Evil 5 coming to 360. Trailer will be launched in a couple of weeks. RE5 doesn't come out this year.

Assassin's Creed devs hit the stage. Uh. Wow. Is she a legit employee?

Assassin's Creed demo presentation seems less than spectacular. I don't think they are showing off how good this game will be. Graphic styling of the game looks neat. I can see how a lot of RPGers will like this game.

The chase scene was pretty cool.

Peter Moore compares HALO to Star Wars. Says the HALO is the new Star Wars.

New 360 console announced.

A green console (colored like MC's armor) with HALO 3 accessories. Weak applause? Oh well. It looked cool to me. Think I'd rather have a black Elite, though.

Short and sweet. HALO has left E3.

Campaign footage. Looks amazing.

Brutes wearing custom armor. Beautiful environments. Fire animations/effects look great. Lighting looks good. H3 is looking better than in the beta.
