The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.
So, I am going through all my old gaming stuff. I am wondering what I should do with it all.
I have a SEGA Genesis in working order with one game (Sonic the Hedgehog 2). I also have a Nintendo 64 with a bunch of games, and 4 controllers. Does EB Games take stuff like this? Or anyone else? I thought about Ebay, but that is such a hassle.
Any ideas, other than just putting it in a box somewhere?

eBay pwns
Gamestop/EB would completely rip you off if they even accept them anymore, which I don't think they'd do. I'm pretty sure they're focused on everything post-Dreamcast.
How about this: You give me all the stuff (keep reading) and I'll take care of all the stuff needed for eBay (taking pics, setting up the auctions, shipping, feedback, etc.), and I take a percentage of the profit. I have 100% positive feedback on eBay with 56 transactions under my belt, so I know my way around the system.
Depending on how many N64 games you have, I'd say you're looking at an eBay haul of between $40-$90.
We can iron out details if you're interested.
Well, that sounds good. But
Well, that sounds good. But I am starting to think that I should just keep the stuff. My nieces and nephews might like this stuff one day.
Stuff
Ebay isn't a hassle, after you're comfortable with it. Most people think it's a hassle because they've only done it once or twice (or not at all).

It's really that easy. However, if you decide to get rid of it then come see me first. I've been collecting classic consoles lately and a Genesis and N64 are holes I currently have in my collection.

I'm sure you're nieces and nephews would be thrilled to play legacy games with crappy graphics on dusty old systems in standard-def. I can definitely see them appreciating the classic gameplay.
Agree
The allure of retro gaming to me is nostalgia. I don't think my 9-year old cousin would like Sonic the Hedgehog, and truth be told I don't really care to play it for hours, but about twice a year I like to crank up the emulator on my modded Xbox and play Sonic, Altered Beast, Excitebike, and Mike Tyson's PunchOut for about 10 minutes each.
True, but a Nintendo 64
True, but a Nintendo 64 isn't exactly ancient. I still play Mario Cart and Super Smash Bros. now and then. Plus, I still have my Gamecube.
I think a 64 would be a good starting place for kids that age.
If you say so.
If you say so.
Super Tecmo Bowl is still
Super Tecmo Bowl is still the best football game ever made. Give me 8 plays preferably 4 were Jerry Rice goes long and I'm golden.
