Mintz, Rev, and myself will be meeting in the biker's parking lot on Monte Sano tomorrow (Sat, June 23) at 0830. We’ll be riding Family Single Track and the closed section of Bankhead Parkway. These are low-key beginner areas to ride in.

If anyone is interested, please feel free to show up.

Minimum System Requirements:
- Bicycle designed for offroad use
- Helmet
- Hydration (water and some way to carry it)

Recommended System Specifications
- Bicycle designed for offroad use with a frame sized to fit you
- Well ventilated Helmet
- Breathable shirt or Jersy...(the type of material runners wear… NOT COTTON)
- Padded Shorts
- Eye protection
- Gloves
- Camel back
- Spare Inner tube
- Multi-tool for trailside repairs
- Small pump to air up flats
- Energy bars/drinks

Biking after July 2nd

I look forward to it. I want to start announcing regular weekend times, and post some pics. If you don't hear from me on this front again for awhile, I haven't wienered out. I have foot surgery slated for the 2nd, which will probably knock me out of the saddle for a few weeks.

Since I won't be riding on Thursday afternoons at that point, maybe I can make one of your beer samplings. Will need cooperation from Speck and the wife on that one. To date, every thursday get together has been a no go for me because of a cranky baby and/or tired wife and/or cranky me.

If only I had a bike! I have other people trying to get me to start biking. One of these days I'll have to do it.
