Forza Motor Sport 2 got a 9.2

Well as I had forgotten Forza 2 came out yesterday and gamespot posted their review and they gave it a 9.2 (the same as the first one). I haven't actually read the review yet but knowing gamespot a 9.2 means it's really good (exspecially for a racer and a sequal). Now to see if Shadowrun gets a better review..

Shadowrun won't get better than a 9.2 because it is so different. Shadowrun is up against all of the shooters on the console. Forza is up against a handful of racers. It could easily get bad reviews. However, I'm expecting about a 8.5/10. I would be surprised if it scores lower than a 8.0.
Heck of a score for Forza, though. I wasn't expecting it to score that well.
I'm confused at the talk of ratings around here. I thought the THX'ers were pretty much immune to them by now since we haven't really relied on them in the past when it comes to making the decision to buy a game or not. The Forza demo was ok, I wouldn't consider the graphics groundbreaking, but it wasn't bad by any means. I actually had more fun playing the demo of the game called 'Dirt', an off road racing game which is extremely well done and has a really cool menu interface. But Forza most likely has more depth.
As far as Shadowrun goes, just try the demo, if you don't like it, don't get it. If your a fan of shooters and won't be spending 100% of your gaming time playing Halo 3 in the next year, Shadowrun is another choice.
Some of the best rated games (>9) have lost my attention in the past after 1 hour of gameplay. Shadowrun kept my attention with only 2 maps, and with some bugs still in the beta. Can't wait to see what the final game looks like.
I just picked up my reserved copy today and got started on the career mode. Anyone out there have it yet and want to get some LIVE stuff going?
I usually won't trust ratings over my own personal taste and instinct for finding a good game, but I'm liable to buy a game if it's generally received by the critics as a title to own. Either that, or I'll rent it first.
