Quick note on native resolution and clipping

My TV is a 1080 native set. I had the 360 set to 720p to minimize GPU conversion and take advantage of the advantage of progressive scan for fast-paced games. However, I noticed the sides of the screen were being clipped very badly in Shadowrun Beta. At the top left of your screen is a prompt that says "Press..." and the entire "P" in press was clipped. I decided to change the resolution to 1080i and sure enough, it fixed the clipping.

I think I'm the only THXer with a 1080 native set (although not 1080p, unfortunately), so I don't foresee this helping anyone else, but it's an interesting factoid in the complex world of HD resolutions.

My TV does something similar (remember that conversation we had in Gears of War about this?). My remote has an option to "Fit to Screen" and if I turn it off, no clipping. If I turn it on, clipping.
