Just Checking In
Hey guys,
I haven't been participating in the forum much recently, I'm sorry about that. I haven't been gaming much recently, so I wouldn't have much to throw in anyways (still no 360).
Some of you know that I have been dedicating most of my free time to making the house a better place to live before Speck gets here. I've even been taking alternate fridays off to make sure I get it all done. I hope to be finished with house repairs/upgrades by early April. Aside from that there has been the birthing classes, parenting classes, Dr. visits, and the dealing with life in general. At least I'm logging in regularly and trying to keep up with you guy's.
- GG FB on the hike.
- Midnight, let us know how the sub works out. I'm interested. I admire your ingenuity.
Anyways, I'm writing all of this to make my presense know, and beause I wanted to share a few pics of what I'm working for. This is Speck...ultrasound technology has come a long way. I get to meet this fellow face to face in mid May.

Holy crap that's an incredible ultrasound image! Is he sucking his thumb? I had noticed your absence, so I'm glad to see you're still here in some capacity.
Ditto, its good to hear from you, Brick. Looks like little Brick is happy and healthy. :)

Wow! You must've smiled real wide when you first saw those images! So what is his name going to be? Speck = Spencer?
He is sucking his thumb. On the video you can also see him drinking amniotic fluid and moving around.
The tech is pretty interesting. It doesn't serve much of a diagnostic purpose, so insurance doesn't cover it; however, someone figured out that if you hung up framed pics around the Dr's office, pregnant women would gladly shell out $125 a pop for a 15 minute session.
I'm usually in here daily, at least Mon.-Fri. It's just not so easy to see who's logged in with this new site.

I'll confess...I felt panicky. It's one thing to read books, and see your wife's growing waistline. It's another thing entirely to see a baby sucking it's thumb. It hammers home how real it is and how little time you have left to get ready.
We haven't decided on a name yet, but Spencer is one of the names we're considering.
wow that is awesome. brick i'm happy things are going great for you and your wife, i hope you guys have a happy and healthy baby. i know what you mean when you say you felt panicky. i felt that way when i heard the heart beat of the baby. its truly an amazing experience.
All you guys with children make me nervous. I can't imagine having a kid right now, which is probably why I don't. It must be a big step.
Congrats Brick. I'm not having kids any time soon, but heres a post in an unrelated forum that I was reading that pretty much sums up the great thing about kids. It's on a forum about guitar amps. In particular read the 'ps'

Christina will let you know when you're ready.
That sounds about right.
LMAO!!! Funniest thing I've heard in a while!
Here's another reason why kids are so
usefulawesome.Went to the Dr. today. She's dilated 3cm. It could be 2 weeks, it could be this afternoon.
