Rapala Tournament Fishing delayed

Rapala's Tournament Fishing isn't coming out this week as expected. That’s too bad because I had it pre-ordered at Amazon. It was supposed to be released on February 5th, 2007. I've got confirmation from Amazon.com and EB Games that it will be a little while longer before this game comes out. EB said that this game has been delayed several times already. This game is already out for the Nintendo Wii and is getting less than outstanding reviews.

Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to playing this game. I was a big fan of “Black Bass on the original NES and I enjoyed “SEGA Bass Fishing on the Dreamcast.

I liked Black Bass on NES as well. I also had a PC-based fishing game back in the days of my Radio Shack Tandy 33MHz 286 that I really liked. Fishing in Twilight Princess is a lot of fun, but difficult and tiring (physically).

What is a fishing game without a reel peripheral?

What is a shooter without a gun?

A fishing license to do the real thing is cheaper.

Not when you add in the rod, real, line, tackle, wet suit, snow-mobile helmet, boat parts, and physical therapy.

Still I know where you're coming from. This area has a lot of good spots, even if you don't own a boat (My house is about 15 minutes up the road from the Madison county fishing lake). Some of us know people who go out every weekend, and even compete in tourneys.

Fish piss me off. From about age 11-14 I studied the science of fishing like a subject in school. I understood the relationship of barometric pressure, moon phases, manmade cover, natural cover, depth, spawning, mating, bedding, feeding, and aggression as it related to catching largemouth bass...but I was not very good at it.

I did the same thing with deer hunting and only ever saw one buck in the wild.

I still hunt and fish when the opportunity arises, but I don't devote very much time to it anymore because it perplexes me. I like bird hunting the most because I can sit in a chair and BS with a friend, and sooner or later one will fly within range.

Salt water fishing owns fresh water. I have gotten to where I don't really enjoy fresh water fishing anymore, mainly because I know what I could be catching in salt water.

Fighting a fish that is more than half your size is lots of fun.

I think it was around this time your mother realized that... you have the Knack. You were to become an engineer.

Half your size? Aren't there brim in the waters around here...

Ha! JK.

I don't think you're fresh water fishing correctly.
- Dose self liberally with insect repellant and sunscreen
- Bait hook
- Throw in water
- Crack open beer, put in can cozy, set next to chair
- Tilt hat over eye's to block sun
- Snooze until you feel like waking up
- Pull in empty line to check it...pretend a turtle stole your bait.
- repeat

I hear that the Rev does it a little differently. He seems to actually care whether or not he catches a fish.

Freshwater fishing is all about the experience. An excuse to go outside and drive around in your boat and relax. I've got some good memories and stories because of it. Most of them relate to what went wrong when we were fishing. Also, I'm sure Hawgdaddy and Insane can attest to that. (something about a rain curse that haunts them on nearly every fishing trip... have they broken that curse yet?)
