You can download a whole crap load of stuff from the Marketplace if you redeem the right codes...alpha and beta versions of games. Unreleased downloadable content.

I might go buy Crackdown for the Halo 3 beta, but I don't want to pre-order a game that turns out to be crappy.

Why don't you download the demo from the XBOX Live Marketplace.

It's the second most popular XBOX 360 game or demo on XBOX Live. It would seem that Crackdown might not be "crappy".

I don't think you'll need the disc in the drive to play, just to download.
