Barnes and Noble off Highway 72 has the newest Halo book early! I called them up, they set it aside for me, and I got it an hour later. This was yesterday (Oct. 29)
I know my hand looks shrimpy in the pic, but it\'s a huge book! The dimensions are 8.5\"x5.5\" compared to the original books\' 6.75\"x4.25\"
Now it\'s time for Sustained Silent Reading...

Re: Halo: Ghosts of Onyx Out Now!
Dang.
Finally got notification from Amazon.com that my GoO + HALO Graphic Novel has shipped. I ordered them 2 months ago from Amazon. (I noticed that I could get the HGN for $15 at Amazon, saw the GoO bundle and bought both.). I figured the HGN would have shipped back in the day. Anyway...looking forward to both items.

Where does this book fall into the Halo timeline?
Re: Halo: Ghosts of Onyx Out Now!
JDOGG: I saw this book at Books a Million on Airport. They had it 30% off with an optional 10% of if you are a BAM member.

Pretty where Halo 2 left off. It jumps around a little, but for the most part it is after and during Halo 2\'s happenings.

Re: Halo: Ghosts of Onyx Out Now!
I\'m about 175 pages into this one, and boy is it excellent. Reminds me a lot of The Fall of Reach. gg, Eric Nylund.
Ghosts of Onyx
Does anyone know a torrent for Ghosts of Onyx. Im too cheap to spend money on it.

I finished reading this book
I finished reading this book the other night. It was good, but not as good as Nylund's other two, IMO. Still, it did a good job of setting things up for Halo 3. I'm more excited than ever to see how things pan out.
There isn't much I can say without spoilers, but one small thing that I really liked was the extra emphasis on the role of the Hunters and the increased level of detail used to describe their physical appearance/composition. I feel like I have a much better idea of the kind of alien race they are and how they fit into the Covenant.

Ditto the Hunters. I liked
Ditto the Hunters. I liked that it created an aura of mystique around the Spartan IIs. With Spartan IIIs it would be very easy to assume IIs are inferior, but it does a good job of dispelling that.
