The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.

My 360 died with the same
My 360 died with the same symptoms. The problems started right after I got Halo 3.
First the 360 would fail to load Halo 3.
Then it stopped loading any 360 disc.
Then it stopped loading any disc.
The year warranty was up, and it's not a RROD problem.
For other reasons my only practical way of addressing the problem was acquiring another 360, which I am still waiting to receive.
For a while I was able to get discs to load by applying gentle pressure to the top case, just to the right of the Xbox 360 logo. I got this tip from a person who had a problem getting discs to eject-- he found this helped his problem also, temporarily.
Rampant for over seven years.
