n00b, for one, there are 2 different skull types in the game. Silver and Gold. The Gold skulls are the ones that give you achievements, whereas the Silver do not. It doesn't matter who picks up the skull, as long as you're in the party, you'll still obtain it. So there's nothing to worry about. :)
