The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.

Why H3 is better (so far)
Why H3 is better (so far) than H2:
The needler is worth picking up.
The AR is a better spawn weapon.
Better graphics.
The ATV is a lot of fun, and it provides zippy transportation without wasting a 'hog/ghost.
Shotgun is now useful again.
Awesome interface.
Saved Films.
It has a different/better pace of gameplay. So far I feel it's less team-oriented than Halo 2, and I felt Halo 2's reliance on team play was a drawback. It falls short of Halo 1's reward for individuality, but I think it strikes a better balance of team-play and individual play than Halo 2.
The new deployable objects are fun. They don't hinder gameplay like I thought they would. It still feels distinctly "Halo" without being too cheesy.

While I feel these things improve upon Halo 2, I don't think Halo 3 encapsulates the original atmosphere of Halo 1 that we're all so nostalgic for. I'm OK with that; I don't expect it to. Halo 3 is a different game, and I look forward to its final release.
