XBOX 360 games and Games for Windows titles have achievements that you can unlock as you play the game. The achievements care a point value that equate to your Gamerscore. It incentivizes gamers to play the games longer. The points stick with your gamertag.

Microsoft is now rewarding players for earning Gamerscore points over a period of time.
