We want your HALO 3 screenshots here. Add yours.
The Hushed Casket was founded in 2002 shortly after the launch of the XBOX console. Today the Hushed Casket is a thriving community of gamers, playing together and publishing news and stories that have appeared in major media properties like Newsweek, G4TV, USA Today, and Penny Arcade. Some game developers have even referenced our guides and news to support their gamers. We don't play Halo. We LAN Halo.
I could argue that Duke Nukem Forever is the most anticipated first person shooter of all time. Since there are many Halo fans on this website, I won't do that...
until later. However, this is some of the biggest gaming news in years.
From 3drealms: a video teaser of Duke Nukem Forever will be posted online tomorrow. For now, check out the screenshot found above.
My favorite XBL multiplayer title is getting a much needed patch, and fourzerotwo has announced many of the details on his blog here.
Highlights from my perspective:
-Fixed "corrupt create-a-class data" so Disavowed can play online with us
-More bandwidth required to host Ground War games
-Showdown, Bloc, Ambush, and Pipeline have been added to almost all of the playlists that they were excluded from
-Team Hardcore is now split into Hardcore Death Match and Hardcore Search and Destroy
-Added kill cam to everything (bombs, claymores, etc)
-Added host migration so the game doesn't end if the host leaves
What's not included that should be:
-XBL style party system for LAN environment
-Removing Shipment from Domination and Headquarters gametypes

As part of Amazon's "10 days 10 deals" promotion, today they are selling the Xbox 360 Arcade along with Beautiful Katamari and Viva Pinata for a total of $255 shipped. The final discounts do not show up until you check out. See the picture above.
If you're interested, visit the above link, follow the directions (check each item on the page and hit "add to cart"), then go to checkout and change the shipping option to "free" and you're set. This would make a great Christmas gift for the casual gamer. The new Arcade SKU also comes with a memory unit, so it's Xbox Live capable out of the box...and it has HDMI!

Looky here fanboys, we think we may have come across Rock Band's rumored big announcement and it is definitely a first for video games.
Talking with the Rocky Mountain News, MTV senior vice president of home entertainment Paul DeGooyer mentioned that they're working with artists to exclusively debut new singles using Rock Band. You know, the same way Prince made his single "Guitar" exclusive to Verizon Wireless. Yeah, that same concept. And first to sign up for a Rock Band track debut is none other than ... Metallica. According to DeGooyer's statements, Metallica has already signed on the dotted line and are committed to giving Rock Band their first single off of their upcoming album. It's an interesting idea and is a somewhat exciting foreshadowing of things to come, but we seriously wonder how many other artists are willing to do the same thing. Then again, money does make the world go around ... and around ... and around.
